The Romantic idea that an author created a text or even a work autonomously is transferred even to pre-modern literature today. This ignores the fact that the transmission of medieval and early modern literature creates variances that could not be justified by means of singular authorships. The present volume offers new theoretical approaches from English, German, and Scandinavian studies to provide a historically more adequate approach to the question of authorship in premodern literary cultures. Authorship is no longer equated with an extra-textual entity, but is instead considered a narratological, inner- and intertextual function that can be recognized in the retrospectively established beginnings of literature as well as in the medial transformation of texts during the early days of printing. The volume is aimed at interested scholars of all philologies, especially those dealing with the Middle Ages or Early Modern Period. 410 0$aAndere Ästhetik - Studien 606 $aLITERARY CRITICISM / European / General$2bisacsh 610 $aAuthorship as a Theoretical Concept. 610 $aPremodern Authorship. 610 $aPremodern Literature. 615 7$aLITERARY CRITICISM / European / General. 676 $a808.020902 702 $aBamberger$b Gudrun, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aBauer$b Matthias, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aBjörnsson$b Sigurđur Ingibergur, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aEggertsdóttir$b Margrét, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aGlauser$b Jürg, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aGropper$b Stefanie, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aGropper$b Stefanie, $4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aHelgason$b Jón Karl, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aKnöpfle$b Madita, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aKárason$b Steingrímur Páll, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aQuinn$b Judy, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aRankovi?$b Slavica, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aRohrbach$b Lena, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aRösli$b Lukas, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aRösli$b Lukas, $4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aZirker$b Angelika, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 712 02$aSonderforschungsbereich 1391 Andere Ästhetik$4fnd$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/fnd 801 0$bDE-B1597 801 1$bDE-B1597 906 $aBOOK 912 $a996453546803316 996 $aIn Search of the Culprit$92572760 997 $aUNISA LEADER 02304nam 2200409Ia 450 001 996395554803316 005 20231219225526.0 035 $a(CKB)4330000000311553 035 $a(EEBO)2240940096 035 $a(OCoLC)12076019 035 $a(EXLCZ)994330000000311553 100 $a19850524d1693 uy | 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurbn#|||a|bb| 200 00$aCosmography and geography$b[electronic resource] $ein two parts, the first, containing the general and absolute part of cosmography and geography, being a translation from that eminent and much esteemed geographer, Varenius : wherein are at large handled all such arts as are necessary to be understand, for the true knowledge thereof : to which is added the much wanted schemes, omitted by the author : the second part being a geographical description of the world, taken from the notes and works of the famous Monsieur Sanson, late geographer to the French King : to which are added about an hundred cosmographical, geographical and hydrographical tables of several kingdoms and isles in the world, with their chief cities, seaports, bays, etc. drawn from the maps of the said Sanson 205 $aThe third impression, illustrated with maps : to which is added the county-maps of England, drawn from those of Speed. 210 $aLondon $cPrinted by Samuel Roycroft, for Richard Blome ...$d1693 215 $a2 v.
