Recent remarkable developments in the observation and manipulation of quantum matter at the single-quantum level point to a new research area of open many-body systems, where interactions with an external observer and the environment play a major role. The first part of the book elucidates the influence of measurement backaction from an external observer, revealing new types of quantum critical phenomena and out-of-equilibrium dynamics beyond the conventional paradigm of closed systems. In turn, the second part develops a powerful theoretical approach to study the in- and out-of-equilibrium physics of an open quantum system strongly correlated with an external environment, where the entanglement between the system and the environment plays an essential role. The results obtained here offer essential theoretical results for understanding the many-body physics of quantum systems open to an external world, and can be applied to experimental systems in atomic, molecular and optical physics, quantum information science and condensed matter physics. 410 0$aSpringer Theses, Recognizing Outstanding Ph.D. Research,$x2190-5053 606 $aQuantum physics 606 $aStatistical physics 606 $aPhase transformations (Statistical physics) 606 $aCondensed materials 606 $aSuperconductivity 606 $aSuperconductors 606 $aQuantum Physics$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P19080 606 $aStatistical Physics and Dynamical Systems$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P19090 606 $aQuantum Gases and Condensates$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P24033 606 $aStrongly Correlated Systems, Superconductivity$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P25064 615 0$aQuantum physics. 615 0$aStatistical physics. 615 0$aPhase transformations (Statistical physics). 615 0$aCondensed materials. 615 0$aSuperconductivity. 615 0$aSuperconductors. 615 14$aQuantum Physics. 615 24$aStatistical Physics and Dynamical Systems. 615 24$aQuantum Gases and Condensates. 615 24$aStrongly Correlated Systems, Superconductivity. 676 $a530.12 700 $aAshida$b Yuto$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$0890812 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a996418445603316 996 $aQuantum Many-Body Physics in Open Systems: Measurement and Strong Correlations$91989905 997 $aUNISA LEADER 01677nam 2200409Ia 450 001 996384511803316 005 20200824132938.0 035 $a(CKB)4940000000074054 035 $a(EEBO)2248516372 035 $a(OCoLC)ocm11903654e 035 $a(OCoLC)11903654 035 $a(EXLCZ)994940000000074054 100 $a19850410d1679 uy | 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurbn||||a|bb| 200 14$aThe unlawfulness of subjects taking up arms against their soveraigne in what case soever$b[electronic resource] $etogether with answers to all objections : a work very seasonable for these times and may serve as a curb to the treasonable practices of Jesuits and other state-incendiaries /$fwritten by Dudley Digs .. 210 $aLondon $cPrinted for Peter Parker ...$d1679 215 $a[8], 168 [i.e. 192] p 300 $a"First published in 1643 as a defense of Charles I, and the doctrine of passive obedience."--NUC pre-1956 imprints. 300 $aNumerous errors in pagination. 300 $aReproduction of original in the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign Campus).
