Based on a cross-sectional research study that examined the sexting behaviour data of boys 14-18, this book allows the voice of the teenagers to be heard alongside the interpretation and consideration of qualitative data collected from the study and semi-structured interviews. The book attempts to answer questions surrounding the prevalence of adolescent practice and the intersection between the individual and the contextual elements of sexting that effect motivation. Dr Needham examines the relationship between behaviour and sexual identity and the impact of age, ethnicity, relationships, pornography, and faith. The recommendations suggested challenge curriculum, policy and practice development relating to how teenage sexting is framed and proposes a new approach with a sexting typology that addresses the ?why? behind the motivation to sext, rather than just examining the ?what? of message content. Jon Needham serves as Director of Safeguarding & Mental Health for a large multi-academy trust. A former specialist nurse and sexual health commissioner, he brings extensive experience supporting young people. Over the past two decades, he has specialised in safeguarding and holds a PhD in Education. 410 0$aStudies in Childhood and Youth,$x2731-6475 606 $aEducation$xCurricula 606 $aEducational psychology 606 $aSex (Psychology) 606 $aCommunication 606 $aEducation and state 606 $aCurriculum Studies 606 $aEducational Psychology 606 $aPsychology of Gender and Sexuality 606 $aMedia and Communication 606 $aEducation Policy 615 0$aEducation$xCurricula. 615 0$aEducational psychology. 615 0$aSex (Psychology) 615 0$aCommunication. 615 0$aEducation and state. 615 14$aCurriculum Studies. 615 24$aEducational Psychology. 615 24$aPsychology of Gender and Sexuality. 615 24$aMedia and Communication. 615 24$aEducation Policy. 676 $a375 700 $aNeedham$b Jon$01845358 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 912 $a9911021973903321 996 $aAddressing Sexting in Educational Spaces$94429210 997 $aUNINA
