The commemoration of this event would be incomplete without an exploration of its Northern dimension; in October 2017, the University of Tromsų, The Arctic University of Norway hosted the conference The Russian Revolutions of 1917: The Northern Impact and Beyond. Norway and Russia are both northern states, and the two countries have a common border in the High North. Some articles in this volume, based on the conference proceedings, investigate the impact of the Russian Revolution in Norway and Sweden, while others deal with the High North, e.g. the Revolution and Civil War in Northern Russia and the radicalization of the workers? movement of Northern Norway; some are also devoted to representations of the Russian Revolution at exhibitions and on the big screen. 606 $aHISTORY / Russia & the Former Soviet Union$2bisacsh 610 $a1917. 610 $aAftenposten. 610 $aAlexandra Kollontai. 610 $aArkhangelsk. 610 $aBolsheviks. 610 $aEmigration. 610 $aEurope. 610 $aExhibitions. 610 $aFebruary Revolution. 610 $aFilm. 610 $aHigh North. 610 $aLenin. 610 $aNordic countries. 610 $aNorway. 610 $aOctober Revolution. 610 $aOlaf Broch. 610 $aPetrograd. 610 $aPutin. 610 $aRevolution. 610 $aRussia. 610 $aRussian Civil War. 610 $aRussian Empire. 610 $aRussian Revolution. 610 $aScandinavia. 610 $aSiberia. 610 $aSoviet Union. 610 $aSweden. 610 $aUSSR. 610 $aWhites. 610 $aclass. 610 $acollectivization. 610 $acommunism. 610 $adiplomacy. 610 $aeconomy. 610 $ageography. 610 $ahistoriography. 610 $ahistory. 610 $ainternational relations. 610 $ajournalism. 610 $alabor. 610 $apeasant-agrarian issues. 610 $apolitical activism. 610 $apolitics. 610 $apostrevolutionary emigration. 610 $atsarist state. 610 $atwentieth century. 610 $awar. 610 $aworkers' movements. 615 7$aHISTORY / Russia & the Former Soviet Union. 676 $a947.084/1 702 $aMyklebost$b Kari Aga$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aNielsen$b Jens Petter$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aRogatchevski$b Andrei$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 712 02$aKnowledge Unlatched$4fnd$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/fnd 801 0$bDE-B1597 801 1$bDE-B1597 906 $aBOOK 912 $a996347747203316 996 $aThe Russian Revolutions of 1917$92042774 997 $aUNISA
