Absolutely not! The author shows that besides the relationship of participation to forms, the relation between part and whole constitutes one of the core principles of the theory of ideas. Starting from this finding, the close textual analysis develops an entirely novel interpretation of Plato?s late dialogue, The Sophist. 606 $aPHILOSOPHY / History & Surveys / Ancient & Classical$2bisacsh 610 $aBeing. 610 $aEleatism. 610 $aform. 610 $ahistory of ideas. 615 7$aPHILOSOPHY / History & Surveys / Ancient & Classical. 676 $a184 700 $aHochholzer$b Christoph$01093990 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910798488303321 996 $aTeile und Teilhabe$92613183 997 $aUNINA LEADER 02357nam 2200373z- 450 001 996320834903316 005 20240517173215.0 035 $a(CKB)9870000000000547 035 $a(oapen)https://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/41963 035 $a(EXLCZ)999870000000000547 100 $a20202102d2011 |y 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurmn|---annan 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aBernardino Baldi?s In mechanica Aristotelis problemata exercitationes 210 $cEdition Open Access$d2011 215 $a1 electronic resource (376 p.) 225 1 $aSources 3: Max Planck Research Library for the History and Development of Knowledge 311 $a3-86931-961-5 330 $a_In mechanica Aristotelis problemata exercitationes_ written by Bernardino Baldi is reprinted with an introduction and commentary as the third volume of the series _Sources of the Max Planck Research Library for the History and Development of Knowledge._ The volume is also freely available in electronic form as an open-access publication on the Internet at www.edition-open-access.de. The _Exercitationes_ were first published in 1621, four years after the death of the author. The work belongs to the long tradition of studies on the pseudo-Aristotelian _Mechanical Problems_ developed during the Renaissance but, unlike most other works written during the sixteenth century, it takes a critical position against the theoretical approach of the pseudo-Aristotelian text. The _Exercitationes_ display a systematic application of Archimedean principles to the explanation of the questions discussed in _Mechanical Problems_ illustrating the patchwork character of preclassical mechanics. Moreover, Baldi's work presents lengthy digressions that considerably widen the boundaries of mechanics. 531 $aMAX PLANCK RESEARCH LIBRARY FOR THE HISTORY AND DEVELOPMENT OF KNOWLEDGE / SOURCES ; 3 610 $aearly modern period 610 $aMPRL 610 $aEdition Open Access 610 $amechanics 610 $ahistory of science 700 $aElio Nenci$4auth$01296679 701 $aNenci$bElio$0256964 906 $aBOOK 912 $a996320834903316 996 $aBernardino Baldi?s In mechanica Aristotelis problemata exercitationes$93024214 997 $aUNISA LEADER 03677nam 22007095 450 001 9911034940703321 005 20251016130457.0 010 $a981-9678-74-9 024 7 $a10.1007/978-981-96-7874-7 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC32353773 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL32353773 035 $a(CKB)41648225100041 035 $a(DE-He213)978-981-96-7874-7 035 $a(OCoLC)1546966458 035 $a(EXLCZ)9941648225100041 100 $a20251016d2025 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aSelected Articles from the International Conference on Designing in Disorder $eUrbanpromo; 5-8 Nov 2024; Florence, Italy /$fedited by Carlo Pisano, Giuseppe De Luca 205 $a1st ed. 2025. 210 1$aSingapore :$cSpringer Nature Singapore :$cImprint: Springer,$d2025. 215 $a1 online resource (401 pages) 225 1 $aAdvances in 21st Century Human Settlements,$x2198-2554 311 08$a981-9678-73-0 327 $aIntroduction -- Urban planning and self-organizing orders -- Climate Change driving Planning Changes: evolving paradigms of the current planning discipline in Europe -- Planning the Open City: Designing Disorder and Ordering without Design -- For a useful plan -- Uncertainty and complexity. Reorganizing Urban Fragility? held from 5 to 8 November 2024 at Florence in Italy. It highlights the issue of land management and its transformations through the use of soft policies and soft power practices: informal tools that progressively complement the ordinary, more formal and constraining tools and processes of planning and design, allowing for a greater variety of possible outcomes, a reduction in time and an increase in the final quality of results. This book therefore reviews these experimental practices and explores how much of this modality can be the pathway for updating the discipline of spatial governance in Europe. 410 0$aAdvances in 21st Century Human Settlements,$x2198-2554 606 $aSustainability 606 $aUrban policy 606 $aDemography 606 $aRegional economics 606 $aSpace in economics 606 $aBioclimatology 606 $aSustainability 606 $aUrban Policy 606 $aSpatial Demography 606 $aRegional and Spatial Economics 606 $aClimate Change Ecology 615 0$aSustainability. 615 0$aUrban policy. 615 0$aDemography. 615 0$aRegional economics. 615 0$aSpace in economics. 615 0$aBioclimatology. 615 14$aSustainability. 615 24$aUrban Policy. 615 24$aSpatial Demography. 615 24$aRegional and Spatial Economics. 615 24$aClimate Change Ecology. 676 $a304.2 700 $aPisano$b Carlo$01832158 701 $aDe Luca$b Giuseppe$0295672 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9911034940703321 996 $aSelected Articles from the International Conference on Designing in Disorder$94449516 997 $aUNINA
