This book explores conflicts related to religion as they play out in public broadcasting, social media, local civic settings, and schools. It examines how the mediatization of these controversies influences people's engagement with contested issues about religion, and redraws the boundaries between inclusion and exclusion. International law urges a precautionary approach in the use of remaining fish stocks, necessitating rational domestic management of coastal fisheries and requiring foreign nations accessing these stocks to cooperate to this end. The manner in which bilateral fishing relations between the EU and various West African states have historically played out, however, has not followed this route. This book is a legal study of these relations from an inter-disciplinary and contextual perspective with particular reference to sustainability questions using three broad conceptual lenses: common resource management, integration towards sustainable development and the colonial legacy to interrogate the extent to which these interactions operated as legal instruments of sustainability. 410 0$aQueen Mary studies in international law ;$v6. 606 $aSustainable fisheries$xLaw and legislation$zEuropean Union countries 606 $aSustainable fisheries$xLaw and legislation$zAfrica, West 606 $aFishery management$zEuropean Union countries 606 $aFishery management$zAfrica, West 615 0$aSustainable fisheries$xLaw and legislation 615 0$aSustainable fisheries$xLaw and legislation 615 0$aFishery management 615 0$aFishery management 676 $a343.24/07692 700 $aWitbooi$b Emma$01510766 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910781531703321 996 $aFisheries and sustainability$93743615 997 $aUNINA
