The method limits the use of parallels or prior constructions as a basis for identification, dealing with each letter on an individual basis and taking full acount of the historical and social context. Sumney concludes that the Pauline letters address different kinds of opposition in different places, including two distinct anti-Paul movements. Here is a fundamental study for research into a basic problem of the Pauline correspondence. 410 0$aLibrary of New Testament studies. 410 0$aJournal for the study of the New Testament.$pSupplement series ;$v188. 676 $a227/.067 700 $aSumney$b Jerry L.$0957255 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910817819103321 996 $aServants of Satan', 'false brothers' and other opponents of Paul$94009782 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03469nam 2200709Ia 450 001 9910957037203321 005 20200520144314.0 010 $a9780791481646 010 $a0791481646 010 $a9781429413510 010 $a1429413514 024 7 $a10.1515/9780791481646 035 $a(CKB)1000000000467265 035 $a(OCoLC)77127777 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebrary10579287 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000112807 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11127919 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000112807 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10099101 035 $a(PQKB)11055101 035 $a(MdBmJHUP)muse6419 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL3407864 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10579287 035 $a(OCoLC)923410338 035 $a(DE-B1597)682141 035 $a(DE-B1597)9780791481646 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC3407864 035 $a(Perlego)2673120 035 $a(EXLCZ)991000000000467265 100 $a20050816d2006 ub 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcn||||||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 10$aBlack feminist voices in politics /$fEvelyn M. Simien charts a course for black women's studies in political science. Examining the simultaneous effects of race and gender on political behavior, Simien uses a national telephone survey sample of the adult African American population to discover the extent to which black women and men support black feminist tenets. At the heart of this book are answers to such questions as: How does the absence of black feminist voices impair our understanding of group consciousness? What factors make individuals more or less likely to adopt black feminist views? Are men just as likely as women to support black feminist tenets? Simien analyzes the survey data, responds to limitations of existing research, and addresses critical questions that many black academics, intellectuals, and activists have devoted significant energy to debating without much empirical evidence. 606 $aFeminism$zUnited States$xHistory 606 $aAfrican American women$xSocial conditions 606 $aWomen$xPolitical activity$zUnited States 615 0$aFeminism$xHistory. 615 0$aAfrican American women$xSocial conditions. 615 0$aWomen$xPolitical activity 676 $a323.196/073/0082 700 $aSimien$b Evelyn M.$f1974-$01811739 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910957037203321 996 $aBlack feminist voices in politics$94363793 997 $aUNINA
