Based primarily on the experience of Poland - in comparison with other East Central European countries - this book debates the specific features of postcommunist constitutionalism. The result is a theory of reflexive constitutionalism (informed by the sociological theory of reflexive modernization) which assesses critically the intellectual resources as well as the consolidating potential of the classic foundations of liberal democracy within the reality of postcommunist transformation. 410 0$aInternational studies in sociology and social anthropology ;$vv. 118. 606 $aConstitutional history$zPoland 606 $aConstitutional history$zEurope, Central 606 $aConstitutional history$zEurope, Eastern 606 $aPost-communism$zPoland 606 $aPost-communism$zEurope, Central 606 $aPost-communism$zEurope, Eastern 607 $aPoland$xPolitics and government$y1989- 607 $aPoland$xSocial conditions$y1980-1989 607 $aEurope, Central$xPolitics and government$y1989- 607 $aEurope, Eastern$xPolitics and government$y1989- 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aConstitutional history 615 0$aConstitutional history 615 0$aConstitutional history 615 0$aPost-communism 615 0$aPost-communism 615 0$aPost-communism 676 $a320.9438 700 $aSka?pska$b Graz?yna$0914804 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910456387903321 996 $aFrom "civil society" to "Europe"$92050098 997 $aUNINA
