Lacroix writes with her ear finely tuned to the music of death and decay, to the harmonies and discords of music, nature, and human desire. Always, in A Most Beautiful Deception, we find the chords of love and devotion being torn apart by the deterioration of the body. Lacroix uses her research into the composers' lives to add layers and nuance, thus creating a complex triangle between the reader, the music, and the poet. Woven almost imperceptibly into these accounts of three composers and their respective fights against the decay of the body and the mind, lies the thread of the poet's own relationships and loss. 410 0$aRobert Kroetsch series. 606 $aCanadian poetry$zAlberta$zEdmonton 610 $aCanadian Literature. 610 $aMusicology. 610 $aPoetry. 615 0$aCanadian poetry 676 $a811.5408 700 $aLacroix$b Melissa Morelli$f1975-$01553086 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910787972903321 996 $aA most beautiful deception$93813343 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01221nam 2200349z- 450 001 9910689358303321 005 20161213092626.0 035 $a(CKB)5860000000027174 035 $a(BIP)048341842 035 $a(EXLCZ)995860000000027174 100 $a20220406c1998uuuu -u- - 101 0 $aeng 200 10$aIraq: can Saddam be overthrown? $ehearing before the Subcommittee on Near Eastern and South Asian Affairs of the Committee on Foreign Relations, United States Senate, One Hundred Fifth Congress, second session, March 2, 1998 215 $a1 online resource (iii, 43 p.) 311 $a0-16-056495-6 517 $aIraq 606 $aInsurgency$zIraq 606 $aGovernment, Resistance to$zIraq 607 $aIraq$xPolitics and government$y1991-2003 607 $aUnited States$xForeign relations$zIraq 607 $aIraq$xForeign relations$zUnited States 610 $aIraq 610 $aHussein, saddam, 1937-2006 610 $aPolitical science 610 $aBiography & autobiography 615 0$aInsurgency 615 0$aGovernment, Resistance to 676 $a327.730567 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910689358303321 996 $aIraq: can Saddam be overthrown$93145981 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01266nam0 22002891i 450 001 UON00499872 005 20231205105409.800 010 $a978-04-7206-868-5 100 $a20191107f2006 |0itac50 ba 101 $aeng 102 $aUS 105 $a|||| 1|||| 200 1 $aPerforming glam rock$egender and theatricality in popular music$fPhilip Auslander 210 $aAnn Arbor$cThe University of Michingan Press$dc2006 215 $a259 p.$cill.$d23 cm 606 $aMUSICA ROCK$3UONC097282$2FI 620 $aUS$dAnn Arbor (Michigan)$3UONL000025 676 $a781.66$cMusica.
