It presents a critical analysis of government policies from the colonial era to the present time; arguing that most of these policies have been stalled by an uncommitted leadership. The regime in Cameroon has drifted away from basic managerial and democratic principles in in favour of the ethnicisation of politics, sterile consumption, clientelism and patronage. The book contends that corruption has become the main instrument of governance whereby the political and economic elites control the wealth of the nation at the expense of a majority who wallow in abject poverty and misery. Faced with the difficult economic and political situation, most youth and the intelligentsia have adopted 'official and 'unofficial' means to circumvent all immigration rules to travel to affluent Western countries, the consequences notwithstanding. Brain drain is often the outcome. Further, it examines issues of social exclusion, political representation and marginalization with special focus on the predicament of Anglophone Cameroonians as a socio-cultural community. The inclusion of examples and case studies based on empirical and secondary data from Africa is intended to foreground the importance of comparison, and attract the interest of both academic and non-academic readership. 606 $aSocial history 607 $aCameroon$xSocial conditions 615 0$aSocial history. 676 $a301.096711 700 $aAngwafo$b PeterTse$01557400 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910788067303321 996 $aCameroon's predicaments$93820878 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01271nam0 22003131i 450 001 UON00462186 005 20231205105129.19 010 $a978-88-624-3003-6 100 $a20151211d2006 |0itac50 ba 101 $aita 102 $aIT 105 $a|||| 1|||| 200 1 $aˆ? ‰e altre storie$fGeorgi Gospodinov$gtraduzione di Giuseppe Dell'Agata 210 $aRoma$cVoland$d2006 215 $a058 p.$d21 cm. 312 $aTitolo originale$9UON00463499 500 0$3UON00463499$aI drugi istorii$91397727 620 $aIT$dRoma$3UONL000004 676 $a891.81$cLetteratura bulgara$v21 700 1$aGOSPODINOV$bGeorgi$3UONV197393$0704222 702 1$aDell'Agata$bGiuseppe$3UONV197389 712 $aVoland$3UONV252670$4650 801 $aIT$bSOL$c20250523$gRICA 899 $aSIBA - SISTEMA BIBLIOTECARIO DI ATENEO$2UONSI 912 $aUON00462186 950 $aSIBA - SISTEMA BIBLIOTECARIO DI ATENEO$dSI BULGARO B 0081 $eSI 15876 7 0081 951 $aSIBA - SISTEMA BIBLIOTECARIO DI ATENEO$bSI20151685 1J 20151211Vs prev. del 05/12/2015 996 $aI drugi istorii$91397727 997 $aUNIOR LEADER 01177nam0-22003371i-450 001 990007958840403321 005 20250924112258.0 010 $a88-467-0254-9 035 $a000795884 035 $aFED01000795884 035 $a(Aleph)000795884FED01 035 $a000795884 100 $a20041124d2001----km-y0itay50------ba 101 0 $aita 102 $aIT 105 $aa-------001yy 200 1 $aLezioni di indoeuropeistica con particolare riguardo alle lingue classiche (sanscrito, greco, latino, gotico)$eil nome degli Indoeuropei, loro protolingua e loro protopatria$ela glottogenesi$ecultura e società indoeuropea$ele lingue indoeuropee$fFranco Cavazza 210 $aPisa$cETS$dc2001 215 $a447 p.$cill.$d24 cm 225 1 $aProgetti linguistici$v13 610 0 $aIndoeuropei 610 0 $aLingue indoeuropee 676 $a410 700 1$aCavazza,$bFranco$0158159 801 0$aIT$bUNINA$gRICA$2UNIMARC 901 $aBK 912 $a990007958840403321 952 $aCIRASS 434$fCIRAS 959 $aCIRAS 996 $aLezioni di indoeuropeistica con particolare riguardo alle lingue classiche (sanscrito, greco, latino, gotico$9746726 997 $aUNINA
