Differences in vocabulary, content and style show that the Greek books of Esther are independent traditions stemming from, and aimed at, two distinct religious communities. The 'Lucianic' version appears more personal, orthodox, nationalistic and Jewish; its audience is Palestinian and it intends to foster communal identity. The Septuagint version breathes a more matter-of-fact, reportorial, Hellenistic style, with an eye to tolerance of heretics and audience entertainment. 410 0$aJournal for the study of the Old Testament.$pSupplement series ;$v187. 606 $aCriticism, Textual 615 0$aCriticism, Textual. 676 $a222 676 $a222.904046 676 $a222/.904046 700 $aDorothy$b Charles V$01548644 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910782334203321 996 $aThe books of Esther$93805820 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01252nam2 22002771i 450 001 UON00395492 005 20231205104633.74 100 $a20110711r1971 |0itac50 ba 101 $aeng 102 $aDE 105 $a|||| 1|||| 200 1 $aˆ2.: The ‰tradition established, 1841-1884. 210 $aNendeln, Liechtenstein$cKraus Reprint$d1971 215 $aXV, 622 p., [33] c. di tav., di cui 1 ripieg.$cill.$d25 cm. 461 1$1001UON00395482$12001 $aˆThe ‰history of the Times$f[The Times]$1210 $aNendeln, Liechtenstein$cKraus Reprint$d1971$1215 $av.$cill.$d25 cm. 606 $aGIORNALI INGLESI$xStoria$xSec. 17-18.$3UONC078850$2FI 606 $aGIORNALISMO$xGran Bretagna$xThe Times$xStoria$3UONC078851$2FI 620 $dNendeln; Liechtenstein$3UONL004222 676 $a072$cGiornalismo e giornali in Gran Bretagna$v21 712 $aKraus Reprint$3UONV246412$4650 801 $aIT$bSOL$c20240220$gRICA 899 $aSIBA - SISTEMA BIBLIOTECARIO DI ATENEO$2UONSI 912 $aUON00395492 950 $aSIBA - SISTEMA BIBLIOTECARIO DI ATENEO$dSI Angl XI 229 b $eSI LO 76876 5 229 b 996 $aTradition established, 1841-1884$91182952 997 $aUNIOR
