A Preliminary review. . 330 $aThe aim of this open access book is to facilitate the identification and description of the different organs as well as pathogens and diseases affecting the most representative species of cephalopods focussed on Sepia officinalis, Loligo vulgaris and Octopus vulgaris. These species are valuable ?morphotype? models and belong to the taxonomic groups Sepioidea, Myopsida and Octopoda, which include most of the species with a high market value and aquaculture potential. The study is based on photographs at macroscopic and histological level in order to illustrate the role of the most important pathogens and related diseases from the view of a pathological diagnosis. The reader is able to familiarize with functional anatomy, necropsy and general histology of adults and paralarvae, as well as with the identification of different pathogens and pathologies. This work is thus an invaluable guide for the diagnosis of cephalopod diseases. Besides including pathogens for non-European cephalopod species, it also provides a useful contribution encouraging marine pathologists, parasitologists, veterinarians and those involved in fishery sanitary assessments, aquarium maintenance and aquaculture practices aiming to increase their knowledge about the pathology of cephalopods. 606 $aAquatic ecology  606 $aAnimal anatomy 606 $aAnimal ecology 606 $aInvertebrates 606 $aVeterinary medicine 606 $aFreshwater & Marine Ecology$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/L19066 606 $aAnimal Anatomy / Morphology / Histology$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/L25015 606 $aAnimal Ecology$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/L19015 606 $aInvertebrates$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/L25058 606 $aVeterinary Microbiology, Parasitology and Infectious Diseases$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/H67020 610 $aLife sciences 610 $aAquatic ecology  610 $aAnimal anatomy 610 $aAnimal ecology 610 $aInvertebrates 610 $aVeterinary medicine 615 0$aAquatic ecology . 615 0$aAnimal anatomy. 615 0$aAnimal ecology. 615 0$aInvertebrates. 615 0$aVeterinary medicine. 615 14$aFreshwater & Marine Ecology. 615 24$aAnimal Anatomy / Morphology / Histology. 615 24$aAnimal Ecology. 615 24$aInvertebrates. 615 24$aVeterinary Microbiology, Parasitology and Infectious Diseases. 676 $a577.6 676 $a577.7 700 $aGestal$b Camino$4edt$01356520 702 $aGestal$b Camino$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aPascual$b Santiago$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aGuerra$b Ángel$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aFiorito$b Graziano$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aVieites$b Juan M$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910337943203321 996 $aHandbook of Pathogens and Diseases in Cephalopods$93361108 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01397nam0 22002771i 450 001 UON00388176 005 20231205104559.619 100 $a20110203d1926 |0itac50 ba 101 $afre$aLAT 102 $aFR 105 $a|||| ||||| 200 1 $aSyntaxe du participe présent et du gérondif en vieil italien avec une introductionn sur l'emploi du participe présent et de l'ablatif du gérondif en latin$fpar Stanko Skerlj 210 $aParis$cLibrairie ancienne H.
