CONCLUSION""; ""References"" 330 3 $aThis paper evaluates whether debt relief and grants can boost social expenditures in lowincome countries. It finds that declines in debt-service help raise social expenditures, but no relationship between grants and social expenditures. Moreover, since the mid-1980s, lowincome countries have managed to fully insulate social expenditures from the effects of budgetary tightening. The magnitude of the impact of these effects on social expenditures, however, is dwarfed by the resources needed to enable these countries to reach the Millennium Development Goals. 410 0$aIMF Working Papers; Working Paper ;$vNo. 2006/180 606 $aDebt relief$zDeveloping countries 606 $aSocial security$zDeveloping countries 606 $aBudget planning and preparation$2imf 606 $aBudget Systems$2imf 606 $aBudget$2imf 606 $aBudgeting & financial management$2imf 606 $aBudgeting$2imf 606 $aEducation spending$2imf 606 $aExpenditure$2imf 606 $aExpenditures, Public$2imf 606 $aHealth care spending$2imf 606 $aHealth economics$2imf 606 $aHealth$2imf 606 $aHealth: General$2imf 606 $aNational Budget$2imf 606 $aNational Government Expenditures and Education$2imf 606 $aNational Government Expenditures and Health$2imf 606 $aNational Government Expenditures and Related Policies: General$2imf 606 $aPublic finance & taxation$2imf 606 $aPublic Finance$2imf 607 $aGuyana$2imf 615 0$aDebt relief 615 0$aSocial security 615 7$aBudget planning and preparation 615 7$aBudget Systems 615 7$aBudget 615 7$aBudgeting & financial management 615 7$aBudgeting 615 7$aEducation spending 615 7$aExpenditure 615 7$aExpenditures, Public 615 7$aHealth care spending 615 7$aHealth economics 615 7$aHealth 615 7$aHealth: General 615 7$aNational Budget 615 7$aNational Government Expenditures and Education 615 7$aNational Government Expenditures and Health 615 7$aNational Government Expenditures and Related Policies: General 615 7$aPublic finance & taxation 615 7$aPublic Finance 700 $aThomas$b Alun$01098448 712 02$aInternational Monetary Fund.$bPolicy Development and Review Dept. 801 0$bDcWaIMF 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910967317903321 996 $aDo Debt-Service Savings and Grants Boost Social Expenditures$94371318 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01025nam0 22002651i 450 001 UON00232166 005 20250527104937.879 100 $a20030730d1966 |0itac50 ba 101 $aita 102 $aIT 105 $a|||| ||||| 200 1 $aSimboli e immagini$eStudi di Filosofia dell'Arte Sacra$fEnrico Castelli 210 $aRoma$c Centro Internazionale di Studi Umanistici$d1966 215 $a68 p., tav.$d27 cm. 606 $aArte sacra$xSimboli$3UONC051453$2FI 620 $aIT$dRoma$3UONL000004 676 $a704.9482$cICONOGRAFIA - Cristianesimo$v21 700 1$aCastelli$bEnrico$3UONV043779$00 712 $aCentro Internazionale di Studi Umanistici$3UONV269134$4650 801 $aIT$bSOL$c20251003$gRICA 899 $aSIBA - SISTEMA BIBLIOTECARIO DI ATENEO$2UONSI 912 $aUON00232166 950 $aSIBA - SISTEMA BIBLIOTECARIO DI ATENEO$dSI VARIA 064 $eSI LO 22643 7 996 $aSimboli e immagini$9295583 997 $aUNIOR
