Although in many situations, the use of biomass is clearly well studied, in other cases, it is a new world, where knowledge is absent regarding how to best value and recycle these forms of biomass, many of which are classified as waste as a result of production processes. Thermochemical conversion technologies could provide an alternative for the processing of these materials, allowing for a reuse value through the transformation of their properties. The purpose of this Special Issue is to contribute to the increase in knowledge in this area when new forms of biomass appear that are cheaper and more available, but also are potentially more problematic, namely in terms of the effects that can be associated with the use of these new products. This Special Issue is focused on the recycling and recovery of biomass materials. Several innovative and alternative concepts can be presented, and the topics of energy recovery, circular economy, life cycle assessment, and supply chain could play a major role. Models on various temporal and geographical scales to understand the conditions of technical as well as organizational change are welcome, as are new methods of modeling that can fulfil technical and physical boundary conditions and consider economic, environmental, and social aspects. 606 $aTechnology: general issues$2bicssc 610 $aabattoir wastes 610 $aagro-waste recycling 610 $aanaerobic digestion 610 $abatik 610 $abiodegradation 610 $abiofertilizer 610 $abiogas 610 $abiomass ash 610 $abiomass pellets 610 $abiomass waste 610 $abioplastics 610 $abiorefinery 610 $acharacterization 610 $acircular economy 610 $aclean production 610 $aclosing the loop 610 $acocoa pod husk 610 $acollectors 610 $acommercial crab species 610 $aenergy recovery 610 $aenergy recovery of agricultural waste 610 $aengine characteristics 610 $aENplus® 610 $aenvironmental pollution 610 $aessential oil production 610 $aexhaust emissions 610 $afeedstock 610 $aflotation 610 $afuel consumption 610 $ahepatopancreas 610 $aHPLC-MS analysis 610 $ahyaluronidase 610 $ahydrothermal liquefaction 610 $ainvasive forest species 610 $alignocellulosic fibers 610 $amacroalgae 610 $amicrobial polyesters 610 $amushroom cultivation 610 $anatural 610 $aolive pomace 610 $aorganic materials 610 $apotassium carbonate 610 $aproteases 610 $arecycled vegetable oil 610 $ared king crab 610 $aresidue valorization 610 $aseawater 610 $aSemarang City 610 $aspecific energy consumption 610 $asustainability 610 $athermochemical conversion 610 $aused oil management 610 $avalue chain 610 $avalue-added products 610 $avegetable oil 610 $awaste cooking oil 610 $awaste lubricating oil 610 $awaste processing 610 $awood pellets 615 7$aTechnology: general issues 700 $aRibeiro Nunes$b Leonel Jorge$4edt$01324156 702 $aRibeiro Nunes$b Leonel Jorge$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910557763503321 996 $aRecycling and Recovery of Biomass Materials$93035963 997 $aUNINA
