A smooth structural zooming technique for horizontal-vertical (h-v) inclusion tree layouts is described and applied to the domain of the software design process, specifically, Design Behaviour Trees (DBTs). This system has the ability to navigate and explore data too large to be fully displayed, whilst maintaining an approximately constant level of visual complexity, good visualization aesthetics and preservation of the user?s mental map through animation. The technique may be readily extended to arbitrary layout styles and algorithms, and to other hierarchical data structures and relational information, such as clustered graphs. 606 $aComputer graphics$vCongresses 606 $aComputer vision$vCongresses 615 0$aComputer graphics 615 0$aComputer vision 676 $a006.6 701 $aRoberts$b Jonathan$g(Jonathan C.)$01231922 712 12$aInternational Conference on Information Visualisation$f(2003 :$eLondon., England) 801 0$bPQKB 906 $aPROCEEDING 912 $a9910872538603321 996 $a2003 International Conference on Coordinated and Multiple Views in Exploratory Visualization (CMV 2003)$92860476 997 $aUNINA
