In the field of health care and prevention, there has been a progressing penetration of assistive health services such as personal health records, supporting apps for chronic diseases, or preventive cardiological monitoring. In 2020, the range of personal health services appeared to be almost unmanageable, accompanied by a multitude of different data formats and technical interfaces. The exchange of health-related data between different healthcare providers or platforms may therefore be difficult or even impossible. In addition, health professionals are increasingly confronted with medical data that were not acquired by themselves, but by an algorithmic "black box". Even further, externally recorded data tend to be incompatible with the data models of classical healthcare information systems.From the individual's perspective, digital services allow for the monitoring of their own health status. However, such services can also overwhelm their users, especially elderly people, with too many features or barely comprehensible information. It therefore seems highly relevant to examine whether such "always at hand" services exceed the digital literacy levels of average citizens.In this context, this reprint presents innovative, health-related applications or services emphasizing the role of user-centered information technology, with a special focus on one of the aforementioned aspects. 606 $aMedicine$2bicssc 610 $aatrial fibrillation 610 $acardiology 610 $acardiovascular disease 610 $aClinicalTrials.gov 610 $aconsumer decision-making 610 $aconsumer health data 610 $aconsumer health devices 610 $aconsumer health information 610 $aCOVID-19 610 $adevice regulation 610 $adigital health 610 $adigital informatics 610 $aECG patch 610 $aecological momentary assessment 610 $aendogenous motivations 610 $aePA 610 $afeasibility 610 $afever 610 $aFeverApp 610 $aguidelines 610 $ahealth information privacy concern 610 $ahealth information technology 610 $ahealth management information system 610 $ahealth system performance 610 $aheart failure 610 $ahospital 610 $ahuman-computer interaction 610 $ainformation exchange 610 $ainstitution 610 $ainstitutionalism 610 $amachine learning 610 $amarket 610 $amental health 610 $amHealth apps 610 $amixed-methods 610 $anew information technology 610 $aonline review helpfulness 610 $aopen notes 610 $aPAEHR 610 $apatient accessible electronic health record 610 $apersonal electronic health records 610 $apersonal health informatics 610 $aphysician rating websites 610 $apolicies 610 $apsychiatric notes 610 $apsychiatric record 610 $apsychiatry 610 $aquantified self 610 $aregistry 610 $aregistry analysis 610 $aroutine health information system 610 $aself-tracking 610 $asensors 610 $asentiment analysis 610 $asignaling theory 610 $asociodemographic characteristics 610 $atechnology acceptance 610 $aTechnology Acceptance Model (TAM) 610 $atechnology adoption 610 $atelecardiology 610 $atelemedicine 610 $atelemonitoring 610 $ausability 610 $auser behavior 610 $auser survey 610 $awearable 610 $awearable health monitor 615 7$aMedicine 700 $aWiesner$b Martin$4edt$01314131 702 $aSchreiweis$b Björn$4edt 702 $aWiesner$b Martin$4oth 702 $aSchreiweis$b Björn$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910585946003321 996 $aInformation Technology's Role in Global Healthcare Systems$93031743 997 $aUNINA
