The relative variation in sea level derives as a result of global, regional, and local processes. All these processes are spatially and temporally variable and cause complex sea-level changes at both regional and local scales. A multidisciplinary approach addressed to palaeo sea-level reconstructions at regional and local scale is the best method to understand the role of natural and anthropogenic forcing in the landscape evolution, as well as to discover the historical human adaptions to natural modifications of the landscape. Definitely, investigating these regional and local patterns is mandatory to reconstruct possible scenarios of the relative sea level rise impacts and to prepare the adaptation of coastal communities threatened by future climate changes. The aim of this Special Issue has been to collect contributions addressing and discussing methodological and multi-disciplinary approaches to studying the regional and local coastal modifications in relation to historical and recent relative sea-level changes to hypothesize future trends. 606 $aEnvironmental economics$2bicssc 606 $aResearch & information: general$2bicssc 610 $a2100 610 $a3D model 610 $aaccretion 610 $aacqua alta 610 $aadaptation costs 610 $aatmospheric variability 610 $aBaltic Sea 610 $abio-indicators 610 $aboulders 610 $aCampi Flegrei 610 $aclimate change 610 $acoastal barrier 610 $acoastal changes 610 $acoastal dynamics 610 $acoastal erosion 610 $acoastal lagoon 610 $acoastal morphometry 610 $acoastal plains 610 $acoastal restoration 610 $acontinuous backstepping pattern 610 $adiversion 610 $aenvironmental planning 610 $aerosion 610 $aestuary 610 $aflow 610 $ageoarchaeology 610 $ageochronology 610 $ageomorphological coastal changes 610 $aHolocene 610 $aincised valley 610 $aintegrated 3D remote sensing surveys 610 $ainterannual variations 610 $ainvestment decision 610 $alate Quaternary environments 610 $aLouisiana 610 $amarine submersion 610 $aMedicane 610 $aMediterranean Sea 610 $aMississippi River Delta 610 $an/a 610 $anatural variability 610 $arelative sea level changes 610 $arelative sea-level rise 610 $asalinity 610 $asapropel S1 610 $asea level 610 $asea level change 610 $asea storm effects 610 $asea-level changes 610 $asea-level rise 610 $asediment 610 $asedimentary dynamics 610 $asouthern Italy 610 $aSpain and Portugal coastal cities 610 $astochastic model 610 $asubmersion 610 $atide gauges 610 $atide-gauges 610 $aTyrrhenian sea 610 $aUAV 610 $auncertainty 610 $avertical ground movements 610 $avertical land motion 610 $aVolturno plain 610 $awaves 610 $awell log correlation 610 $awestern Ligurian sea 610 $awetland loss 615 7$aEnvironmental economics 615 7$aResearch & information: general 700 $aAucelli$b Pietro$4edt$01313409 702 $aMastronuzzi$b Giuseppe$4edt 702 $aMattei$b Gaia$4edt 702 $aAucelli$b Pietro$4oth 702 $aMastronuzzi$b Giuseppe$4oth 702 $aMattei$b Gaia$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910585938803321 996 $aRelative Sea-Level Changes and their Impact on Coastal Zones$93031396 997 $aUNINA
