The study provides a comparison of the sentencing practices of each country, focusing on three dimensions related to the sanction practices: the custodial sanctions, the alternative sanctions, and the extension of the judicial thinking into relative fields such as school, training, and social policies. With clear and thoroughly developed research methods, this analysis illustrates that changes in juvenile justice policies are not specifically the result of differences in crime rates or the evolution of deviant youth behavior, but rather the effect of complex interactions with a variety of social, economical, cultural, and political factors. 410 0$aCriminologische studies. 606 $aJuvenile justice, Administration of$zEurope 606 $aJuvenile justice, Administration of$zTurkey 606 $aJuvenile justice, Administration of$zCanada 606 $aJuvenile delinquency$zEurope 606 $aJuvenile delinquency$zTurkey 606 $aJuvenile delinquency$zCanada 615 0$aJuvenile justice, Administration of 615 0$aJuvenile justice, Administration of 615 0$aJuvenile justice, Administration of 615 0$aJuvenile delinquency 615 0$aJuvenile delinquency 615 0$aJuvenile delinquency 701 $aBailleau$b Francis$01966996 701 $aCartuyvels$b Yves$0603756 701 2$aBailleau$b Francis$01966996 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9911088972603321 996 $aThe criminalisation of youth$94731425 997 $aUNINA
