In Australien gewann 2007 die Labor Partei mit der Kampagne "der Klimawandel ist die gro?ßte moralische Herausforderung unserer Zeit" die Wahlen. Aber wie greifen die Medien das Thema Klimawandel im Kontext der Berichterstattung zu den Wahlen auf? Diese Arbeit beantwortet diese beiden Fragestellungen mithilfe einer Vergleichsanalyse von zwei deutschen und zwei australischen Qualita?tszeitungen (n = 1.012 Artikel). Dafu?r wurden sowohl Entman's (1993) Framingansatz als auch das "Erweiterte Spha?renmodell", das es ermo?glicht, Unterschiede in der Berichterstattung zu identifizieren, als theoretische Grundlagen genutzt. So wurden mithilfe einer hierarchischen Clusteranalyse sieben Frames identifiziert. Zudem werden sechs Akteursgruppen unterschieden und mo?gliche Einflussfaktoren erarbeitet. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass die Unterschiede in der Klimawandelberichterstattung der beiden La?nder eher gering sind. Zwar konnten einige der definierten Unterschiede mithilfe des angewendeten Models erkla?rt werden. Jedoch stechen vor allem die U?bereinstimmung in der Klimawandelberichterstattung heraus.
