With the founding of McGill universities in 1821, and Laval in 1852, followed by other institutions of higher learning, the debate ceased to be purely theoretical. The idea of university is now evolving with its implementation. It is often those who devote their lives to it that feel the need to take stock of what has become of higher education: William Dawson, E?douard Montpetit, Marie-Victorin, Cyril James, Guy Rocher. But the central place of the university in society makes it a subject of wider debate, which concerns both the leaders of the Church, such as Bishop Bourget and Cardinal Villeneuve, If the history of the university in Quebec remains to be written, this anthology gives at least a first sketch. It clearly shows that the very idea of a university has evolved according to the different currents of thought that clashed for two hundred years on the political and social scene. We pass on the reluctance of Bishop Hubert to see a young people rubbing too close to the Enlightenment, the Rioux Report who wants to integrate into the university the artistic training that previously belonged to specialized schools. We go from those like Stanley Gray who wish to put the university at the service of the Revolution, to those who want to make it an instrument of economic and regional development. If everyone agrees on the importance of the university, this agreement can not include any unanimity. 517 $aIdée d'université 606 $aEducation 615 0$aEducation. 676 $a370 700 $aCorbo$b Claude$01368155 702 $aOuellon$b Marie 801 0$bNjHacI 801 1$bNjHacl 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910724359203321 996 $aIde?e d'universite?$93392963 997 $aUNINA LEADER 00729nam0-2200265 --450 001 9911042228503321 005 20251125131549.0 010 $a978-88-06-32912-9 100 $a20251125d1985----kmuy0itay5050 ba 101 1 $aita 102 $aIT 105 $a 001yy 200 1 $a<>fisici$fFriedrich Durrenmatt$ga cura di Aloisio Rendi 210 $aTorino$cEinaudi$d1985 215 $a84 p.$d18 cm 225 1 $aCollezione di teatro$v148 700 1$aDürrenmatt,$bFriedrich$0386486 702 1$aRendi,$bAloisio 801 0$aIT$bUNINA$gREICAT$2UNIMARC 901 $aBK 912 $a9911042228503321 952 $a832.914 DURR 05 (1)$b2025/3701$fFLFBC 959 $aFLFBC 996 $aFisici$9181879 997 $aUNINA
