Parents, students, educators, bureaucrats, pundits . . . everyone says something must be done. But what? And who should do it?In this environment, school leaders must build bridges for change. As the system now stands, many students spend great portions of their lives feeling inferior if they struggle, invisible if they already know the material, problematic if they're not a child of the dominant culture, and perverse if they question the school agenda. This book explores how school leaders can develop responsive, personalized, and differentiated classrooms. Differentiation is simply a teacher attending to the learning needs of a particular student or small group of students, rather than teaching a class as though all individuals in it were basically alike.Expert educators teach individuals the most important things in the most effective ways. No single approach works with all students. Classrooms function best when teachers and students join to develop multiple avenues to learning. Until every student is growing and successful, our own growth is unfinished. The authors show how school leaders can encourage and support growth in our classrooms. 606 $aIndividualized instruction 606 $aEducational leadership 606 $aClassroom management 606 $aSchool environment 615 0$aIndividualized instruction. 615 0$aEducational leadership. 615 0$aClassroom management. 615 0$aSchool environment. 676 $a371.39/4 700 $aTomlinson$b Carol A$0884859 701 $aAllan$b Susan D$01808584 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910974118503321 996 $aLeadership for differentiating schools & classrooms$94358904 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03494nam 22005415 450 001 9911010537503321 005 20250618124734.0 010 $a981-9668-15-8 024 7 $a10.1007/978-981-96-6815-1 035 $a(CKB)39331352200041 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC32162263 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL32162263 035 $a(DE-He213)978-981-96-6815-1 035 $a(EXLCZ)9939331352200041 100 $a20250618d2025 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur||||||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aBetween Clicks and Clerics $eHow Young Western Muslims Seek Religious Knowledge in the Digital Age /$fby Ihsan Yilmaz 205 $a1st ed. 2025. 210 1$aSingapore :$cSpringer Nature Singapore :$cImprint: Palgrave Macmillan,$d2025. 215 $a1 online resource (151 pages) 311 08$a981-9668-14-X 327 $aChapter 1 Introduction -- Chapter 2 Imams -- Chapter 3 Internet -- Chapter 4 Friends, Family, Teachers -- Chapter 5 Conclusion. 330 $aThis book explores the lived experiences of young Muslims in Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States as they seek religious guidance in an increasingly digital world. Based on extensive qualitative research?including interviews with 122 young Muslims?it examines how faith, identity, and knowledge come together in modern society. In doing so, the book looks at the role of imams in diaspora communities, the trust (or skepticism) placed in online religious sources, and the influence of family, friends, and digital religious figures. Between Clicks and Clerics captures the shifts in religious learning as young Muslims turn to both traditional and digital sources. Through firsthand narratives, this book highlights the voices of young Muslims as they work through questions of authenticity, authority, and independence in their spiritual journeys. It shows how they balance tradition with modern life, skepticism with belief, and personal choice with community expectations. As religious authority spreads beyond traditional figures, this book examines how Islamic knowledge is changing in the Anglosphere and what it means for the future. Ihsan Yilmaz is a Chair in Islamic Studies and Research Professor of Political Science and International Relations at Deakin University?s Alfred Deakin Institute for Citizenship and Globalisation (ADI). He previously held positions at the Universities of Oxford and London, leading multi-site international research projects. Affairs, the Victorian Government, and the Gerda Henkel Foundation. 606 $aIslam$xStudy and teaching 606 $aPsychology and religion 606 $aMass media and globalization 606 $aIslamic Studies 606 $aPsychology of Religion and Spirituality 606 $aMedia and Globalisation 615 0$aIslam$xStudy and teaching. 615 0$aPsychology and religion. 615 0$aMass media and globalization. 615 14$aIslamic Studies. 615 24$aPsychology of Religion and Spirituality. 615 24$aMedia and Globalisation. 676 $a297.083091821 700 $aY?lmaz$b I?hsan$01357622 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9911010537503321 996 $aBetween Clicks and Clerics$94464831 997 $aUNINA
