In usage, the appearance of one adjective in the construction triggers the emergence of related ones through analogical extension propelling the expansion of semantic categories of adjectives. Categories develop in different ways reflecting the characteristics of their members in terms of semantics and conventionalization. Emergence tends to relate to the ability of one construction to attract adjective types away from another. This study gives insight into the cognitive status and complex evolution of a schematic construction in a way that supports an instance-based model of memory. 410 0$aBrill's studies in historical linguistics ;$vVolume 4. 606 $aSpanish language$xFigures of speech 606 $aSpanish language$xVerb 606 $aSpanish language$xAdverbs 606 $aHistorical linguistics 606 $aConstruction grammar 615 0$aSpanish language$xFigures of speech. 615 0$aSpanish language$xVerb. 615 0$aSpanish language$xAdverbs. 615 0$aHistorical linguistics. 615 0$aConstruction grammar. 676 $a465/.6 700 $aVergara Wilson$b Damián Chase$01701208 801 0$bNL-LeKB 801 1$bNL-LeKB 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910973797803321 996 $aCategorization and constructional change in Spanish expressions of 'becoming$94084789 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03044oas 2201153 a 450 001 9910146326003321 005 20251105213014.0 011 $a1944-8252 035 $a(DE-599)ZDB2467494-1 035 $a(DE-599)2467494-1 035 $a(OCoLC)238705106 035 $a(CONSER) 2008201975 035 $a(CKB)1000000000435935 035 $a(EXLCZ)991000000000435935 100 $a20080805a20099999 sy a 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur||||||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aACS applied materials & interfaces 210 $aWashington, DC $cAmerican Chemical Society$d[2009]- 300 $aRefereed/Peer-reviewed 311 08$a1944-8244 517 1 $aACS applied materials and interfaces 517 1 $aApplied materials & interfaces 517 1 $aAmerican Chemical Society applied materials & interfaces 531 0 $aACS appl. mater. interfaces 606 $aMaterials$vPeriodicals 606 $aMaterials science$vPeriodicals 606 $aChemical Phenomena 606 $aBiocompatible Materials 606 $aMate?riaux$vPe?riodiques 606 $aScience des mate?riaux$vPe?riodiques 606 $aMaterials$2fast$3(OCoLC)fst01011772 606 $aMaterials science$2fast$3(OCoLC)fst01011957 606 $aWerkstoffkunde$2gnd 606 $aZwischenschicht$2gnd 606 $aAngewandte Chemie$2gnd 606 $aPolímers$2thub 606 $aInterfícies (Ciències físiques)$2thub 608 $aPeriodicals.$2fast 608 $aPeriodicals.$2lcgft 608 $aZeitschrift$2swd 608 $aOnline-Publikation$2swd 608 $aRevistes electròniques.$2thub 615 0$aMaterials 615 0$aMaterials science 615 12$aChemical Phenomena. 615 22$aBiocompatible Materials. 615 6$aMate?riaux 615 6$aScience des mate?riaux 615 7$aMaterials. 615 7$aMaterials science. 615 7$aWerkstoffkunde 615 7$aZwischenschicht 615 7$aAngewandte Chemie 615 7$aPolímers. 615 7$aInterfícies (Ciències físiques) 712 02$aAmerican Chemical Society 801 0$bNSD 801 1$bNSD 801 2$bMUQ 801 2$bPUL 801 2$bAGL 801 2$bLGG 801 2$bDLC 801 2$bMYG 801 2$bXBM 801 2$bOCLCS 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bOCLCO 801 2$bOCLCF 801 2$bOCLCO 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bDEFHM 801 2$bOCLCO 801 2$bGILDS 801 2$bOCLCO 801 2$bAU@ 801 2$bOCLCO 801 2$bAUD 801 2$bOCLCA 801 2$bVT2 801 2$bOCLCA 801 2$bUMC 801 2$bHQ1 801 2$bDLC 801 2$bOCLCA 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bCASUM 801 2$bUAB 801 2$bSXB 801 2$bOCLCL 801 2$bOCLCQ 906 $aJOURNAL 912 $a9910146326003321 996 $aACS applied materials & interfaces$91762163 997 $aUNINA
