The emphasis is on the relative chronology of sound changes and on the development of the verbal system. Special attention is devoted to the origin of absolute and relative verb forms, to the rise of the mutations, to the role of thematic and athematic inflexion types in the formation of present classes, preterits, subjunctives and futures, and to the development of deponents and passive forms. Other topics include infixed and suffixed pronouns, palatalization of consonants and labialization of vowels, and the role of Continental Celtic in the reconstruction of Proto-Celtic. The final chapter provides a detailed analysis of the Latin and other Italic data which are essential to a reconstruction of Proto-Italo-Celtic. The appendix contains a full reconstruction of the Old Irish verbal paradigms, which renders the subject more easily accessible to a wider audience. The book is of interest to Celticists, Latinists, Indo-Europeanists and other historical linguists. 410 0$aLeiden Studies in Indo-European$v14. 606 $aIrish language$xEtymology 606 $aIrish language$yTo 1100$xEtymology 606 $aIrish language$xForeign elements$xItalian 606 $aCeltic languages$xEtymology 615 0$aIrish language$xEtymology. 615 0$aIrish language$xEtymology. 615 0$aIrish language$xForeign elements$xItalian. 615 0$aCeltic languages$xEtymology. 676 $a491.62 700 $aKortlandt$b Frederik$0893138 801 0$bNL-LeKB 801 1$bNL-LeKB 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910973948403321 996 $aItalo-Celtic origins and prehistoric development of the Irish language$94319279 997 $aUNINA LEADER 04387nam 2200721Ia 450 001 9910972775203321 005 20251116231954.0 010 $a1-281-95121-8 010 $a9786611951214 010 $a3-7643-8624-X 024 7 $a10.1007/978-3-7643-8624-5 035 $a(CKB)1000000000546215 035 $a(EBL)1038111 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000149757 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11159860 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000149757 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10239518 035 $a(PQKB)10567754 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC3063828 035 $a(DE-B1597)206198 035 $a(OCoLC)311484969 035 $a(OCoLC)858016092 035 $a(DE-B1597)9783764386245 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC1038111 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL3063828 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10271957 035 $a(CaONFJC)MIL195121 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL1038111 035 $a(OCoLC)858228748 035 $a(EXLCZ)991000000000546215 100 $a20080123d2008 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 10$aETFE $etechnology and design /$fAnnette LeCuyer 205 $a1st ed. 210 $aBasel ;$aBoston $cBirkhauser$d2008 215 $a1 online resource (160 p.) 300 $aDescription based upon print version of record. 311 08$a3-7643-8563-4 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references (p. 156-157) and index. 327 $tFrontmatter -- $tSustaining New Technologies / $rLiddell, Ian -- $tIntroduction: Pleasure. This material is very thin and lightweight and, when used in air-filled cushion assemblies, has enormous strength and a range of adaptive environmental attributes. ETFE cushion enclosures became known primarily through Grimshaw Architects' Eden Project and Herzog + de Meuron's Allianz Arena, and they are being used on the spectacular swimming stadium for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, the largest ETFE building envelope in the world so far. This book is conceived as an in-depth introduction to the characteristics of ETFE and its applications in construction. Project examples explore in detail the specific characteristics of ETFE building skins in the areas of structural behavior, light transmission, insulation, acoustics, fire engineering and environmental modification. 606 $aFluoropolymers 606 $aBuilding materials 606 $aPolyethylene terephthalate 606 $aPlastics in building 615 0$aFluoropolymers. 615 0$aBuilding materials. 615 0$aPolyethylene terephthalate. 615 0$aPlastics in building. 676 $a691.92 700 $aLeCuyer$b Annette W$01860295 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910972775203321 996 $aETFE$94465031 997 $aUNINA
