The costs are well documented but are hidden in the sense that they occur outside the market, are not reflected in market prices, and are not taken into account by energy users. Double Dividend presents a novel method for designing environmental taxes that correct market prices so that they reflect the true cost of energy. The resulting revenue can be used in reducing the burden of the overall tax system and improving the performance of the economy, creating the double dividend of the title. The authors simulate the impact of environmental taxes on the U.S. economy using their Intertemporal General Equilibrium Model (IGEM). This highly innovative model incorporates expectations about future prices and policies. The model is estimated econometrically from an extensive 50-year dataset to incorporate the heterogeneity of producers and consumers. This approach generates confidence intervals for the outcomes of changes in economic policies, a new feature for models used in analyzing energy and environmental policies. These outcomes include the welfare impacts on individual households, distinguished by demographic characteristics, and for society as a whole, decomposed between efficiency and equity."--Publisher's website. 606 $aEnvironmental impact charges$zUnited States 606 $aTaxation$zUnited States 606 $aFiscal policy$zUnited States 615 0$aEnvironmental impact charges 615 0$aTaxation 615 0$aFiscal policy 676 $a336.2/7833370973 700 $aJorgenson$b Dale W$g(Dale Weldeau),$f1933-$0140875 702 $aGoettle$b Richard 702 $aHo$b Mun S. 702 $aWilcoxen$b Peter J. 801 0$bOCoLC-P 801 1$bOCoLC-P 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910953170703321 996 $aDouble dividend$94328653 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01151nas 2200385 c 450 001 9910142543903321 005 20251012103842.0 024 8 $aHein-ecmi 035 $a(DE-599)ZDB2252930-5 035 $a(OCoLC)1184420580 035 $a(DE-101)981411525 035 $a(CKB)1000000000529985 035 $a(EXLCZ)991000000000529985 100 $a20061002b20052005 |y | 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur||||||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 00$aOmbudsman Institutions and Minority Issues$ea guide to good practice$fEuropean Centre for Minority Issues 210 31$aFlensburg$c[Verlag nicht ermittelbar]$d2005-2005 210 31$aBuffalo, NY$cHeinOnline$d2005-2005 215 $aOnline-Ressource 608 $aZeitschrift$2gnd-content 676 $a340 686 $aINTRECHT$qDE-1a$2fid 686 $a2$a2,1$2ssgn 712 02$aEuropean Centre for Minority Issues$4isb 801 0$b0001 801 1$bDE-101 801 2$b9999 906 $aJOURNAL 912 $a9910142543903321 996 $aOmbudsman Institutions and Minority Issues$92114701 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03416nam 2200733k 450 001 9910970487603321 005 20250204190654.0 010 $a9781350210325 010 $a1350210323 010 $a9781783196715 010 $a1783196718 024 7 $a10.5040/9781350210325.00000005 035 $a(CKB)3710000000348474 035 $a(EBL)1931847 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC1931847 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL1931847 035 $a(OCoLC)902954281 035 $a(UkLoBP)CDCBOB9781350210325 035 $a(UkLoBP)BP9781350210325DO 035 $a(EXLCZ)993710000000348474 100 $a20210501d2015 uy d 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aUpper cut /$fJuliet Gilkes Romero 210 1$aLondon :$cOberon Books :$cBloomsbury Publishing,$d2015. 215 $a1 online resource (155 p.) 225 1 $aOberon modern plays 300 $aDescription based upon print version of record. 311 08$a9781783191727 311 08$a1783191724 327 $aCover; Half-title Page; Title Page; Copyright; Dedication; Acknowledgements; Contents; Characters; Scene One: November 2012; Scene Two: August 2011; Scene Three: January 2006; Scene Four: May 1994; Scene Five: June 1987; Scene Six: March 1987; Scene Seven: February 1987; Scene Eight: January 1987; Scene Nine: December 1986; Scene Ten: September 1986 330 $a'Seventy percent of my constituents are white, Karen. I have to be a politician, who "happens" to be black. Not a black man who "happens" to be a politician.' Karen loves politics. She's a rising star but on the eve of a general election she risks her career and reputation on a bitter and contentious fight over whether to allow short lists for black Parliamentary candidates. Deselected by her party, and betrayed by the men she loves, Karen must embark on a relentless road to power and political redemption. Provocative and raw, Upper Cut unravels the fight for diversity and black representation through today's coalition politics, the hope and rebirth of New Labour and delves into the troubled heart of a Labour party struggling under the might of Thatcher's Tory revolution. Upper Cut is inspired by true political events. 410 0$aOberon modern plays. 606 $aBlacks$zGreat Britain$vDrama 606 $aMan-woman relationships$vDrama 606 $aWomen, Black$xPolitical activity$vDrama 606 $aBlacks$2fast$3(OCoLC)fst00833880 606 $aMan-woman relationships$2fast$3(OCoLC)fst01007080 606 $aPlays, playscripts$2bic 606 $aRace relations$2fast$3(OCoLC)fst01086509 606 $aWomen, Black$xPolitical activity$2fast$3(OCoLC)fst01178930 607 $aGreat Britain$xRace relations$vDrama 607 $aGreat Britain$2fast 608 $aDrama.$2fast 608 $aDrama.$2lcgft 615 0$aBlacks 615 0$aMan-woman relationships 615 0$aWomen, Black$xPolitical activity 615 7$aBlacks. 615 7$aMan-woman relationships. 615 7$aPlays, playscripts. 615 7$aRace relations. 615 7$aWomen, Black$xPolitical activity. 676 $a822.914 700 $aRomero$b Juliet Gilkes$01795010 801 0$bUkLoBP 801 1$bUkLoBP 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910970487603321 996 $aUpper cut$94340150 997 $aUNINA
