U.S and Mexican researchers, public health officials, industry leaders, and policy-makers engaged in valuable dialogue to share perspectives, challenges, and opportunities. Commonalities and differences in the United States and Mexico regarding risk factors, potential interventions and programs, and need for all sectors to collaborate and make progress toward solving this serious public health problem were also discussed. This dialogue served as a basis to explore a bi-national agenda for addressing this epidemic, which was the ultimate goal of the workshop. 606 $aObesity in children$zUnited States$xPrevention$vCongresses 606 $aObesity in children$zMexico$xPrevention$vCongresses 606 $aMexican American children$xHealth and hygiene$vCongresses 606 $aChildren$xHealth and hygiene$zMexico$vCongresses 615 0$aObesity in children$xPrevention 615 0$aObesity in children$xPrevention 615 0$aMexican American children$xHealth and hygiene 615 0$aChildren$xHealth and hygiene 676 $a362.198/92398 701 $aOria$b Maria$01807685 701 $aSawyer$b Kristin$01809193 712 02$aInstitute of Medicine (U.S.).$bFood and Nutrition Board. 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910970463003321 996 $aJoint U.S.-Mexico Workshop on Preventing Obesity in Children and Youth of Mexican Origin$94359858 997 $aUNINA
