In part this has been a response to neoliberal and neoconservative attacks, both implicit and explicit, on the gains made by feminists during the 1960s and 70s. This study adds a comparative dimension to the ongoing analysis of feminism and feminist activism by mapping, analysing and theorising third wave feminisms in the US and Britain. A key addition to Gender and Politics literature, it explores third wave feminisms by situating them within a specific political context, neoliberalism, and in relation to feminist theories of intersectionality, both of which present radical opportunities and practical challenges for feminism and the feminist movement. Elizabeth Evans is Lecturer in Politics at the University of Bristol. Her research focuses on gender and politics, including engagement with formal processes and political activism. She has published widely on aspects of feminism, gender and politics, and her previous book, Gender and the Liberal Democrats, was published in 2011. 410 0$aGender and Politics,$x2662-5822 606 $aSex 606 $aPolitical science 606 $aFeminism 606 $aFeminist theory 606 $aCommunication in politics 606 $aComparative government 606 $aSocial policy 606 $aGender Studies 606 $aPolitical Science 606 $aFeminism and Feminist Theory 606 $aPolitical Communication 606 $aComparative Politics 606 $aSocial Policy 615 0$aSex. 615 0$aPolitical science. 615 0$aFeminism. 615 0$aFeminist theory. 615 0$aCommunication in politics. 615 0$aComparative government. 615 0$aSocial policy. 615 14$aGender Studies. 615 24$aPolitical Science. 615 24$aFeminism and Feminist Theory. 615 24$aPolitical Communication. 615 24$aComparative Politics. 615 24$aSocial Policy. 676 $a305.420941 700 $aEvans$b E$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$063757 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910968852603321 996 $aThe Politics of Third Wave Feminisms$94328396 997 $aUNINA
