The essence of ADHD is emotional dysregulation, and the sufferer displays enhanced needs for egosupportive responses from others, as he or she struggles with storms of affect, especially rage and anxiety, impulsivity, deficits in executive functioning, and attentional problems. It is often a hidden core within what is otherwise perceived as borderline or emotionally unstable personality disorder. This is a brain-based disorder - which certainly gives rise to psychodynamics but is not caused by psychodynamics. Autistic spectrum traits, which often coexist with ADHD, are similarly brain-based, associated with intense but unintegrated experience, inflexibility, and a range of efforts to cope with potentially overwhelming emotions and anxieties. Phil Mollon, a psychoanalyst and psychotherapist with forty years clinical experience, presents a wide-ranging discussion of these disorders, exploring psychoanalytic, neurobiological and psycho-energetic perspectives. He describes how the classical Freudian model, combined with Kohut's self-psychology, provides a sound basis for effective therapy with clients whose self is under continual threat of disintegration."--Provided by publisher. 606 $aAttention-deficit hyperactivity disorder$xAlternative treatment 606 $aAttention-deficit hyperactivity disorder$xDiet therapy 615 0$aAttention-deficit hyperactivity disorder$xAlternative treatment. 615 0$aAttention-deficit hyperactivity disorder$xDiet therapy. 676 $a618.92858906 686 $aPSY000000$2bisacsh 700 $aMollon$b Phil$01847634 801 0$bFlBoTFG 801 1$bFlBoTFG 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910967089803321 996 $aThe Disintegrating Self$94433549 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03578nam 2200661Ia 450 001 9910969981403321 005 20251117064009.0 010 $a1-282-13088-9 010 $a9786612130885 010 $a0-8032-2270-X 035 $a(CKB)1000000000794130 035 $a(EBL)452143 035 $a(OCoLC)609843184 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000361212 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11263626 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000361212 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10351266 035 $a(PQKB)10386462 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC452143 035 $a(EXLCZ)991000000000794130 100 $a20090105d2009 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 14$aThe Holocaust in the Soviet Union /$fYitzhak Arad 205 $a1st ed. 210 $aLincoln $cUniversity of Nebraska Press ;$aJerusalem $cYad Vashem$d2009 215 $a1 online resource (720 p.) 225 1 $aThe comprehensive history of the Holocaust 300 $aDescription based upon print version of record. 311 08$a0-8032-4519-X 311 08$a0-8032-2059-6 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references and index. 327 $aTitle Page; Copyright Page; Table of Contents; List of Illustrations; Preface; Part 1. Reports, records, documents, and research previously unavailable in English enable Yitzhak Arad to trace the Holocaust in the German-occupied territories of the Soviet Union through three separate periods in which German political and military goals in the occupied territories dictated the treatment of the Jews. Arad's examination of the differences between the Holocaust in the Soviet Union compared to other European nations reveals how Nazi ideological 410 0$aComprehensive history of the Holocaust. 606 $aJews$xPersecutions$zSoviet Union$xHistory$y20th century 606 $aHolocaust, Jewish (1939-1945)$zSoviet Union 606 $aHolocaust, Jewish (1939-1945)$zSoviet Union$xHistoriography 606 $aAntisemitism$zSoviet Union 607 $aSoviet Union$xHistory$yGerman occupation, 1941-1944 607 $aSoviet Union$xEthnic relations 615 0$aJews$xPersecutions$xHistory 615 0$aHolocaust, Jewish (1939-1945) 615 0$aHolocaust, Jewish (1939-1945)$xHistoriography. 615 0$aAntisemitism 676 $a940.53/180947 700 $aArad$b Yitzhak$f1926-2021.$0506177 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910969981403321 996 $aHolocaust in the Soviet Union$9782364 997 $aUNINA
