So fokussiert der Band nicht nur literarische Traditionen von Frauen, sondern auch Fragen nach weiblichem Schreiben und einer erweiterten Kanonbildung. Im Mittelpunkt der Beiträge stehen exemplarische Lektüren des Werks und das intellektuelle Profil der jeweiligen Autorin.
