It aims to derive consistent information on physical and financial flows in the sector, including on interlinkages between the subsectors. It then applies this framework to Côte d'Ivoire. While being an important source of growth, the Ivoirien energy sector is found to have important shortcomings, in particular as regards transparency, efficiency and contribution to fiscal revenue. Among the key problems are partially intransparent production sharing arrangements for hydrocarbon production, price distortions for natural gas, administered prices for refined petroleum products, underfunding and lack of investment in the electricity sector, and inefficient government subsidies in the latter two subsectors. 410 0$aIMF Working Papers; Working Paper ;$vNo. 2008/156 606 $aPetroleum$xEconometric models 606 $aNatural gas$xEconometric models 606 $aElectric utilities$xEconometric models 606 $aPetroleum$zCote d'Ivoire$xEconometric models 606 $aNatural gas$zCote d'Ivoire$xEconometric models 606 $aElectric utilities$zCote d'Ivoire$xEconometric models 606 $aElectric Utilities$2imf 606 $aElectric utilities$2imf 606 $aElectricity$2imf 606 $aEnergy and the Macroeconomy$2imf 606 $aEnergy industries$2imf 606 $aEnergy sector$2imf 606 $aEnergy: General$2imf 606 $aGas industry$2imf 606 $aHydrocarbon Resources$2imf 606 $aIndustries: Energy$2imf 606 $aInvestment & securities$2imf 606 $aInvestments: Energy$2imf 606 $aMacroeconomics: Production$2imf 606 $aNatural gas sector$2imf 606 $aOil production$2imf 606 $aOil$2imf 606 $aPetroleum industry and trade$2imf 606 $aPetroleum, oil & gas industries$2imf 607 $aCôte d'Ivoire$2imf 615 0$aPetroleum$xEconometric models. 615 0$aNatural gas$xEconometric models. 615 0$aElectric utilities$xEconometric models. 615 0$aPetroleum$xEconometric models. 615 0$aNatural gas$xEconometric models. 615 0$aElectric utilities$xEconometric models. 615 7$aElectric Utilities 615 7$aElectric utilities 615 7$aElectricity 615 7$aEnergy and the Macroeconomy 615 7$aEnergy industries 615 7$aEnergy sector 615 7$aEnergy: General 615 7$aGas industry 615 7$aHydrocarbon Resources 615 7$aIndustries: Energy 615 7$aInvestment & securities 615 7$aInvestments: Energy 615 7$aMacroeconomics: Production 615 7$aNatural gas sector 615 7$aOil production 615 7$aOil 615 7$aPetroleum industry and trade 615 7$aPetroleum, oil & gas industries 676 $a665.5 700 $aFabig$b Holger$01816372 801 0$bDcWaIMF 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910965545203321 996 $aModeling Macro-Critical Energy Sectors in Low-Income Countries$94372405 997 $aUNINA
