These include the description of scattering, bound, and resonant states, in a unified way. The reader finds here all that is known about Jost functions as well as what is needed to fill the gap between the pure mathematical theory and numerical calculations. Some of the topics covered are: quantum resonances, Regge poles, multichannel scattering, Coulomb interaction, Riemann surfaces, multichannel analog of the effective range theory, one- and two-dimensional problems, many-body problems within the hyperspherical approach, just to mention few of them. These topics are relevant in the fields of quantum few-body theory, nuclear reactions, atomic collisions, and low-dimensional semiconductor nanostructures. In light of this, the book is meant for students, who study quantum mechanics, scattering theory, or nuclear reactions at the advanced level as well as for post-graduate students and researchers in the fields of nuclear and atomic physics. Many of the arguments that are traditional for textbooks on quantum mechanics and scattering theory, are covered here in a different way, using the Jost functions. This gives the reader a new insight into the subject, revealing new features of various mathematical objects and quantum phenomena. 606 $aNuclear physics 606 $aMathematical physics 606 $aQuantum theory 606 $aNuclear and Particle Physics 606 $aTheoretical, Mathematical and Computational Physics 606 $aQuantum Physics 615 0$aNuclear physics. 615 0$aMathematical physics. 615 0$aQuantum theory. 615 14$aNuclear and Particle Physics. 615 24$aTheoretical, Mathematical and Computational Physics. 615 24$aQuantum Physics. 676 $a530.12 676 $a530.12015118 700 $aRakityansky$b Sergei A.$01262930 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 912 $a9910619279603321 996 $aJost Functions in Quantum Mechanics$92954946 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01321nam0 22003011i 450 001 UON00075630 005 20231205102409.225 100 $a20020107d1936 |0itac50 ba 101 $aita 102 $aIT 105 $a|||| ||||| 200 1 $aˆLa ‰Costituzione etiopica$eStudio seguito dalla versione della Costituzione stessa fatta sul testo amarico ed annotata da Enrico Cerulli$fAmedeo Giannini 205 $aSeconda edizione 210 $aRoma$cIstituto per l'Oriente$d1936 215 $a48 p.$d25 cm 316 $a*Data inesatta$5IT-UONSI ETXVE a/002* 410 1$1001UON00013433$12001 $aPubblicazioni dell'Istituto per l'Oriente 606 $aDiritto costituzionale$xEtiopia$3UONC022979$2FI 620 $aIT$dRoma$3UONL000004 676 $a342.63$cDIRITTO COSTITUZIONALE - Etiopia$v21 700 1$aGiannini$bAmedeo$3UONV004094$0130761 712 $aIstituto per l'Oriente C.
