CONCLUSIONS""; ""REFERENCES""; ""Data Appendix"" 330 3 $aWe analyze the flexibility of the Canadian labor market across provinces in both an interand intra-national context using macroeconomic data on employment, unemployment, participation, and (for Canada) migration and real wages. We find that Canadian labor markets respond in a similar manner to their U.S. counterparts and are more flexible than those in major euro area countries. Within Canada, the results indicate that labor markets in Ontario and provinces further west are more flexible, particularly with regard to migration, while those further east are less so. 410 0$aIMF Working Papers; Working Paper ;$vNo. 2006/083 606 $aLabor market$zCanada 606 $aManpower policy$zCanada 606 $aBusiness$2Iptcnc 606 $aCanada$2Iptcnc 606 $aEconomics$2Iptcnc 606 $aEconomy$2Iptcnc 606 $aEmployment$2Iptcnc 606 $aHuman migration$2Iptcnc 606 $aImmigration$2Iptcnc 606 $aLabour economics$2Iptcnc 606 $aMacroeconomics$2Iptcnc 606 $aUnemployment$2Iptcnc 615 0$aLabor market 615 0$aManpower policy 615 7$aBusiness 615 7$aCanada 615 7$aEconomics 615 7$aEconomy 615 7$aEmployment 615 7$aHuman migration 615 7$aImmigration 615 7$aLabour economics 615 7$aMacroeconomics 615 7$aUnemployment 676 $a305.23/0971 700 $aSutton$b Bennett$01108577 701 $aBayoumi$b Tamim$0122763 701 $aSwiston$b Andrew$01815877 712 02$aInternational Monetary Fund. 801 0$bDcWaIMF 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910964631203321 996 $aShocking Aspects of Canadian Labor Markets$94372520 997 $aUNINA
