It provides a minimalist account of the relationship between focus, topic, evidentiality and other left-peripheral features and sentence-internal constituents marked with suffixes that have been previously considered of a pragmatic nature. Intervention effects show that these relationships are also of a syntactic nature. The analysis is extended to morphological markers that appear on polarity sensitive items and wh-words. The book also provides a brief overview of the main characteristics of Quechua syntax as well as additional bibliographical information. 410 0$aLinguistik aktuell ;$vBd. 169. 606 $aQuechua language$xGrammar 606 $aQuechua language$xMorphology 606 $aQuechua language$xSyntax 606 $aMinimalist theory (Linguistics) 615 0$aQuechua language$xGrammar. 615 0$aQuechua language$xMorphology. 615 0$aQuechua language$xSyntax. 615 0$aMinimalist theory (Linguistics) 676 $a498/.3235 700 $aSa?nchez$b Liliana$01601372 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910960372703321 996 $aThe morphology and syntax of topic and focus$94347530 997 $aUNINA
