Although short lived, the crisis threatened all countries in the region and thus, it became a defining moment for them. The approach developed by the interrational community in response to the crises, was a fully integrated one, which included reconstruction and economic prosperity for the entire region. This paper documents the progress made by the region in terms of economic growth and government reform. It acknowledges the positive impact of the donor community upon this progress and points out that ongoing progress depends upon effective governance and policy development from the authorities in the region. This is critical to bringing private investment into the region. 410 0$aWorld Bank e-Library. 606 $aYugoslav War, 1991-1995$xEconomic aspects$vCongresses 607 $aBalkan Peninsula$xEconomic conditions$vCongresses 607 $aBalkan Peninsula$xEconomic policy$vCongresses 615 0$aYugoslav War, 1991-1995$xEconomic aspects 676 $a339.5/09496 701 $aDemekas$b Dimitri G$01861545 712 02$aWorld Bank. 712 02$aInternational Monetary Fund. 712 12$aRegional Conference for South East Europe 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910959448403321 996 $aBuilding peace in South East Europe$94467677 997 $aUNINA
