It investigates the ways in which vocational education and training (VET) can enhance the social inclusion of young people at-risk, both in terms of combating school dropout rates, and promoting transitions between various (social) learning contexts, such as school-work transition. Book presents the findings of the analysis of available statistical data disclosing the capacities and potential of the VET systems and providers to empower vulnerable learners in the project partner countries. In the context of VET, this book examines the situations of at-risk young people as they experience, and understand themselves, in it, and explores innovative solutions to address their challenges in collaboration between themselves, their teachers, and other community actors and stakeholders. Finally, it analyses and discusses the innovative pedagogical interventions used in empowering at-risk VET students as implemented in the research project 'EmpowerVET', on the basis of the Educational Learning Lab model developed by researchers from the University of Tallinn School of Educational Sciences. 410 0$aEducation Series 606 $aProfessional education 606 $aVocational education 606 $aEducation and state 606 $aEducational sociology 606 $aProfessional and Vocational Education 606 $aEducational Policy and Politics 606 $aSociology of Education 606 $aFormació professional$2thub 606 $aJoves desfavorits$2thub 606 $aPolítica educativa$2thub 606 $aEducació inclusiva$2thub 606 $aPedagogia$2thub 606 $aSociologia de l'educació$2thub 608 $aLlibres electrònics$2thub 615 0$aProfessional education. 615 0$aVocational education. 615 0$aEducation and state. 615 0$aEducational sociology. 615 14$aProfessional and Vocational Education. 615 24$aEducational Policy and Politics. 615 24$aSociology of Education. 615 7$aFormació professional 615 7$aJoves desfavorits 615 7$aPolítica educativa 615 7$aEducació inclusiva 615 7$aPedagogia 615 7$aSociologia de l'educació 676 $a370.113 700 $aTu?tlys$b Vidmantas$01781463 701 $aTikkanen$b Tarja Irene$01781464 701 $aÜmarik$b Meril$01781465 701 $aSloka$b Biruta$01781466 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910919648103321 996 $aEmpowering at-Risk Youth in and Through Vocational Education$94306273 997 $aUNINA
