The author scrutinizes movement critically assuming that (1) movement is composed of change, (2) a change may be a crack, (3) the crack demonstrates a disturbance in the experienced movement, and (4) it is culture that is a remedy to the crisis caused by this disturbance. It is shown that artistic sensitivity allows for the detection of various cracks, and it is, among other examples, religious mythology and scientific narratives where one finds a multiplicity of representations to manage the consequences of this detection. Zaporowski sees these tools as purposefully constructed to respond to the human experience of discontinuity in the world and proposes to frame time cyclically while ? critically ? paying attention to the cracks as significant indicators that force one to amend one?s conduct in an ordered fashion. He appeals to the notion of culture, which allows one to manage the cracked nature of movement. Culture conditions one?s purposeful and ordered actions, and is subject to possible reconfigurations through a series of interactions. It allows for foreseeable conduct while at the same time being aware of possible and irreversible changes. This volume appeals to researchers, as well as undergraduate and graduate students in philosophy and anthropology. 410 0$aSpringerBriefs in Philosophy,$x2211-4556 606 $aPhilosophy and social sciences 606 $aAnthropology 606 $aScience$xPhilosophy 606 $aPhilosophical anthropology 606 $aSocial sciences$xPhilosophy 606 $aAnalysis (Philosophy) 606 $aPhilosophy of the Social Sciences 606 $aAnthropology 606 $aPhilosophy of Science 606 $aPhilosophy of Anthropology 606 $aSocial Theory 606 $aAnalytic Philosophy 615 0$aPhilosophy and social sciences. 615 0$aAnthropology. 615 0$aScience$xPhilosophy. 615 0$aPhilosophical anthropology. 615 0$aSocial sciences$xPhilosophy. 615 0$aAnalysis (Philosophy) 615 14$aPhilosophy of the Social Sciences. 615 24$aAnthropology. 615 24$aPhilosophy of Science. 615 24$aPhilosophy of Anthropology. 615 24$aSocial Theory. 615 24$aAnalytic Philosophy. 676 $a300.1 700 $aZaporowski$b Andrzej$01784399 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910983385103321 996 $aCrack and Culture: On Representations of Movement in Anthropology and Philosophy$94335299 997 $aUNINA LEADER 06060nam 22007575 450 001 9910917195203321 005 20250613162924.0 010 $a9789819782932 010 $a9819782937 024 7 $a10.1007/978-981-97-8293-2 035 $a(CKB)36959355500041 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC31824048 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL31824048 035 $a(OCoLC)1478704191 035 $a(DE-He213)978-981-97-8293-2 035 $a(EXLCZ)9936959355500041 100 $a20241209d2024 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur||||||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aSharing Leadership Stories in Rural Education $eLeading Rurally across Australia and the United States /$fedited by Simone White, Jayne Downey, Melyssa Fuqua 205 $a1st ed. 2024. 210 1$aSingapore :$cSpringer Nature Singapore :$cImprint: Springer,$d2024. 215 $a1 online resource (285 pages) 311 08$a9789819782925 311 08$a9819782929 327 $a-- INTRODUCTION -- 1. It explores the vibrancy and variety of opportunities and challenges that are met by rural education leaders and researchers from two particular countries, Australia and the United States. It illuminates and explores the concept of rural leadership and take an educational stance, shedding light into what it means to lead rurally for educational policy, research, schools, communities and for the next generation of rural leaders themselves. It presents stories from the field with insights into capabilities, approaches, models and strategies for improving practice and outcomes. In addition to adding to the international bodies of knowledge, this volume contributes to advancements in educational leadership theories, as well as expands understanding of requisite knowledge and skills as informed by the distinct circumstances and affordances of rural contexts. This book also explores the construct of service, and explores ways in which it has been infused in various rural education leadership contexts. 606 $aSchool management and organization 606 $aSchool management and organization 606 $aEducation and state 606 $aEducation$xPhilosophy 606 $aOrganization and Leadership 606 $aEducational Policy and Politics 606 $aEducational Philosophy 606 $aAdministració escolar$2thub 606 $aPolítica educativa$2thub 606 $aFilosofia de l'educació$2thub 606 $aMedi rural$2thub 607 $aAustràlia$2thub 607 $aEstats Units d'Amèrica$2thub 608 $aLlibres electrònics$2thub 615 0$aSchool management and organization. 615 0$aSchool management and organization. 615 0$aEducation and state. 615 0$aEducation$xPhilosophy. 615 14$aOrganization and Leadership. 615 24$aEducational Policy and Politics. 615 24$aEducational Philosophy. 615 7$aAdministració escolar 615 7$aPolítica educativa 615 7$aFilosofia de l'educació 615 7$aMedi rural 676 $a370.917340994 700 $aWhite$b Simone$0780151 701 $aDowney$b Jayne$01779675 701 $aFuqua$b Melyssa$01779676 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910917195203321 996 $aSharing Leadership Stories in Rural Education$94303241 997 $aUNINA
