In laying the foundations for an appreciation of the aesthetic component in architecture, Smith considers the mechanisms which are involved in the aesthetic response and goes on to consider how human perception may be influenced by natural phenomena and draws on chaos theory and biomathematics to illustrate this original argument. The conference was organized on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Besides the introductory address, by Ben Ferencz, one of the prosecutors at the Nuremberg Trials, this volume gathers internationally renowned scholars and practitioners who deal with diverging issues from the international human rights law and politics. The volume opens with a selection of contributions broadly falling under the heading ? general theoretical issues. It is followed by a handful of articles focusing on the minority rights protection in the 21st century. Third part of the book is devoted to a pertinent problem of accountability of corporations for human rights violations. The closing part of the book is dedicated to environment and bioethics as human rights issues. This volume would be of interest to both human rights scholars and practitioners as well as to those generally interested in public international law issues. 606 $ainternational human rights law$9eng$2EUROVOC 606 $ahuman rights$9eng$2EUROVOC 606 $apublic statement$9eng$2EUROVOC 606 $abio-ethics$9eng$2EUROVOC 606 $apublic international law$9eng$2EUROVOC 606 $acharter on human rights$9eng$2EUROVOC 615 7$ainternational human rights law. 615 7$ahuman rights. 615 7$apublic statement. 615 7$abio-ethics. 615 7$apublic international law. 615 7$acharter on human rights. 700 $aVárady$b Tibor$0604497 701 $aJovanovi?$b Miodrag$0682837 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910915773403321 996 $aHuman Rights in the 21st Century$94302730 997 $aUNINA
