The author of nearly 400 sonnets remarkable for their subtlety, intricate narrative structure, and learned allusions, Battiferra, who was married to the prominent sculptor and architect Bartolomeo Ammannati, traversed an elite literary and artistic network, circulating her verse in a complex and intellectually fecund exchange with some of the most illustrious figures in Italian history. In this bilingual anthology, Victoria Kirkham gathers Battiferra's most essential writing, including newly discovered poems, which provide modern readers with a valuable social chronicle of sixteenth-century Italy and the courtly culture of the Counter-Reformation. 410 0$aOther voice in early modern Europe. 606 $aItalian poetry$y16th century$xHistory and criticism 610 $aliterature, anthology, collection, bilingual, translation, translated, collected works, international, well known, famous, 1500s, poetry, poetics, poetic, poet, renaissance, time period, florence, italy, italian, era, sonnet, form, formal, narrative, structure, allusion, personal life, biographical, artist, artistic, community, culture, writing, history, historical, reformation, courtly. 615 0$aItalian poetry$xHistory and criticism. 676 $a851/.5 700 $aBattiferri degli Ammannati$b Laura$f1523-1589.$0169312 701 $aKirkham$b Victoria$0482098 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910777490403321 996 $aLaura Battiferra and her literary circle$93829338 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03736nam 22005655 450 001 9910906194503321 005 20250808085248.0 010 $a3-031-58164-4 024 7 $a10.1007/978-3-031-58164-9 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC31758465 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL31758465 035 $a(CKB)36516553700041 035 $a(DE-He213)978-3-031-58164-9 035 $a(EXLCZ)9936516553700041 100 $a20241108d2024 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aDeterministic Car-Following Traffic Models $eDelay Effects and Linear Stability /$fby Rifat Sipahi, Silviu-Iulian Niculescu, Fatihcan M. It provides the reader with theoretical approaches and computational tools, including existing tools from the field of control systems, for analysing the stability and slinky features of dynamical systems affected by time delays. Through examples and case-studies it shows how to implement these tools on a variety of traffic-flow models. The models considered are microscopic flow models (dealing with the behaviour of individual vehicles rather than the study of group effects) formulated as continuous-time deterministic delay-differential equations. Physiological lag (human reaction), mechanical time-lag and the delay time of vehicular motion are only a few examples of the multitude of delays that are applied to a traffic model. Such delays may also be discrete (constant), distributed or time-varying; the text concentrates on the constant and distributed delays associated with the representation of linear stability and slinky features to allow a compact and analytically tractable demonstration of the intricacy of delay effects. Readers with an academic research background in applied maths, vehicle dynamics and traffic modelling and graduate students working in those fields will find this brief to be an interesting source of results and openings for further work. It is also useful for engineers working on traffic-management systems and the guidance and control of autonomous vehicles. 410 0$aSpringerBriefs in Control, Automation and Robotics,$x2192-6794 606 $aAutomatic control 606 $aTransportation engineering 606 $aTraffic engineering 606 $aControl and Systems Theory 606 $aTransportation Technology and Traffic Engineering 615 0$aAutomatic control. 615 0$aTransportation engineering. 615 0$aTraffic engineering. 615 14$aControl and Systems Theory. 615 24$aTransportation Technology and Traffic Engineering. 676 $a388.31 700 $aSipahi$b Rifat$01775481 701 $aNiculescu$b Silviu-Iulian$028455 701 $aAtay$b Fatihcan M$01775482 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910906194503321 996 $aDeterministic Car-Following Traffic Models$94290107 997 $aUNINA
