Based on both quantitative and qualitative data from 16 cities in four European countries (France, Germany, The Netherlands, and Italy), the book compares the cities and uses a method of fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis. It demonstrates the shared contingencies of factors among the cities within each type and the crucial differences between the types of localities, and offers a more differentiated, holistic understanding of migration-related diversity configurations through the five conceptualised types: (1) Superdiverse cities, (2) Postindustrial diverse cities. (3) Middle class diverse cities, (4) Divided cities, and (5) Marginal migration cities. As such, the book is a valuable read to all those who would like to learn more about urban migration-related diversity and how it is formed and governed. 410 0$aIMISCOE Research Series,$x2364-4095 606 $aEmigration and immigration 606 $aEmigration and immigration$xGovernment policy 606 $aHuman geography 606 $aEmigration and immigration$xSocial aspects 606 $aHuman Migration 606 $aMigration Policy 606 $aHuman Geography 606 $aSociology of Migration 615 0$aEmigration and immigration. 615 0$aEmigration and immigration$xGovernment policy. 615 0$aHuman geography. 615 0$aEmigration and immigration$xSocial aspects. 615 14$aHuman Migration. 615 24$aMigration Policy. 615 24$aHuman Geography. 615 24$aSociology of Migration. 676 $a304.8 700 $aPisarevskaya$b Asya$01788744 701 $aScholten$b Peter$0871800 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910898595203321 996 $aCities of Migration$94323907 997 $aUNINA
