Through the history of their creation and transformation, it becomes apparent how literary models were re-declared and transformed into the well-known fairy tale narratives, in the course of the editing process by the Brothers Grimm, essentially by Wilhelm Grimm. By means of a series of model studies - including Rapunzel, Jorinde und Joringel and Der Jude im Dorn - it is shown that the Brothers Grimm's fairy tales, contrary to their traditional assessment as 'folk tales', are of literary origin and have a literary character themselves. 606 $aLiterary form 606 $aProse literature 606 $aEuropean literature 606 $aLiterature, Modern$y19th century 606 $aLiterary Genre 606 $aNarrative Text and Prose 606 $aEuropean Literature 606 $aNineteenth-Century Literature 615 0$aLiterary form. 615 0$aProse literature. 615 0$aEuropean literature. 615 0$aLiterature, Modern 615 14$aLiterary Genre. 615 24$aNarrative Text and Prose. 615 24$aEuropean Literature. 615 24$aNineteenth-Century Literature. 676 $a398.210922 700 $aBluhm$b Lothar $0224077 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910595062103321 996 $aFairy Tales As Literature of Literature$92915683 997 $aUNINA
