In doing so, it builds on current insights regarding the so-called paragone debate, seeing this, however, as only one, too narrow perspective on early modern artistic production. Synagonism, rather, implies a breaking up of the schematic connections between art forms and individual senses, drawing attention to the multimediality and intersensoriality of art, as well as the relationship between image and body. 410 0$aEarly Modern History and Modern History E-Books Online, Collection 2024. 606 $aAesthetics & Cultural Theory 606 $aArt History 606 $aEarly Modern History 606 $aHistory 606 $aPhilosophy 615 0$aAesthetics & Cultural Theory. 615 0$aArt History. 615 0$aEarly Modern History. 615 0$aHistory. 615 0$aPhilosophy. 676 $a709 702 $aGastel$b Joris van 702 $aHadjinicolaou$b Yannis 702 $aRath$b Markus 801 0$bNL-LeKB 801 1$bNL-LeKB 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910878798403321 996 $aSynagonism: Theory and Practice in Early Modern Art$94205534 997 $aUNINA
