It has been the third event in a series of events related to N- linear speech processing, in the framework of the European COST action 277 ?Nonlinear speech processing?. Many speci?cs of the speech signal are not well addressed by conv- tional models currently used in the ?eld of speech processing. The purpose of NOLISP is to present and discuss novel ideas, work and results related to alternative techniques for speech processing, which depart from mainstream approaches. With this intention in mind, we provide an open forum for discussion. Alt- nate approaches are appreciated, although the results achieved at present may not clearly surpass results based on state-of-the-art methods. The call for papers was launched at the beginning of 2005, addressing the following domains: 1. Non-Linear Approximation and Estimation 2. Non-Linear Oscillators and Predictors 3. Higher-Order Statistics 4. Independent Component Analysis 5. Nearest Neighbors 6. Neural Networks 7. Decision Trees 8. Non-Parametric Models 9. Dynamics of Non-Linear Systems 10. Fractal Methods 11. Chaos Modeling 12. Non-Linear Di?erential Equations 13. Others All the main ?elds of speech processing are targeted by the workshop, namely: 1. The growth of multi-academy trusts (MATs) has been a significant change in the English educational landscape. While some schools have been forced to join MATs, many of them have made this change because their governing board has chosen to do so. The author of this book examines the reasons why many governing bodies have still decided to join a MAT, despite numerous controversies linked to them. He applies the theory that neoliberalism perpetuates itself by creating crises which require more neoliberal policy solutions. Using three case-study schools, the extent to which various crises in the English education system have encouraged governing boards to join MATs is studied. The book will be of interest to academics and students of education policy, schooling, and the sociology of education. Ian Dewes is the CEO of Odyssey Collaborative Trust, an academy trust in Derby, UK, with seven schools. 606 $aEducation and state 606 $aSchools 606 $aEducational sociology 606 $aPolitical planning 606 $aWelfare state 606 $aEducation Policy 606 $aSchool and Schooling 606 $aSociology of Education 606 $aPublic Policy 606 $aWelfare 606 $aAdministració escolar$2thub 607 $aAnglaterra$2thub 608 $aLlibres electrònics$2thub 615 0$aEducation and state. 615 0$aSchools. 615 0$aEducational sociology. 615 0$aPolitical planning. 615 0$aWelfare state. 615 14$aEducation Policy. 615 24$aSchool and Schooling. 615 24$aSociology of Education. 615 24$aPublic Policy. 615 24$aWelfare. 615 7$aAdministració escolar 676 $a379.42 700 $aDewes$b Ian$01742668 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 912 $a9910865237303321 996 $aNeoliberal Crises and the Academisation of the English School System$94169380 997 $aUNINA
