It builds on World Health Organization and the World Meteorological Organization global documents, as well as on the disaster preparedness methodologies employed throughout the countries of the Region. This publication is part of an effort coordinated by PAHO to support Member States in multihazard preparedness, and includes: early warning system strengthening; threat characterization; activation and deactivation procedure definition; and institutional coordination. It engages different disciplines and recognizes the importance of intersectoral collaboration to respond to heat-health risks. It aims to bring awareness of the impacts of heat on the health of people of the Americas to public health decisionmakers, and thereby strengthen health service provision. 700 $aOrganization$b Pan American Health$01594660 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 912 $a9910860869103321 996 $aHeatwaves$94166116 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03287aam 2200493 n 450 001 9910985873803321 005 20250618102223 010 $a83-8142-256-6 035 $a(CKB)4100000007592383 035 $a(ceeol)ceeol730043 035 $a(CEEOL)730043 035 $a(EXLCZ)994100000007592383 100 $a20252218d2018 ||l | 101 0 $apol 200 1 $aPolityka klimatyczna pa?stwa. The analysis is aimed at identifying the national conditions of climate action and then examining their translation into the international activity of the state. The choice of Norway was provoked by an interesting question how climate policy is formulated and conducted in a highly developed country, with a consolidated form of democracy and high aspirations in the field of environmental protection, which also has based its development model on oil and gas exports. The analysis of the last three decades of the Norwegian climate policy entitles to the conclusion that the state has managed to combine the roles of the ecological leader and the hydrocarbon exporter. The reflections are focused on showing the political process, determinants, the institutional and legal framework as well as strategies and tools for implementing the adopted objectives of the Norwegian climate policy. The research assumption is to show dependent and independent variables of Norwegian climate policy. The subjects of research are first of all state bodies, but also political parties as well as social organizations and groups (formal and informal). The processual nature of research shows, above all, the evolution of the Norwegian climate policy assumptions over three decades, taking into account their continuity and change. The analysis intentionally covers both political, economic and social ramifications, with the aim to show their complex character, but also to explain the state?s motivation in the international environment. 606 $aPolitics / Political Sciences 606 $aPolitics 606 $aEconomy 606 $aGeography, Regional studies 606 $aEnergy and Environmental Studies 606 $aEnvironmental geography 606 $aEconomic policy 606 $aEnvironmental and Energy policy 615 0$aPolitics / Political Sciences 615 0$aPolitics 615 0$aEconomy 615 0$aGeography, Regional studies 615 0$aEnergy and Environmental Studies 615 0$aEnvironmental geography. 615 0$aEconomic policy 615 0$aEnvironmental and Energy policy 700 $aDo?pia?-Borysiak$b Katarzyna$01827472 712 02$aCentral and Eastern European Online Library 801 0$bceeol 801 1$bceeol 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910985873803321 996 $aPolityka klimatyczna pa?stwa.
