Although the book focuses on the UK, it is contextualized in the globalised nature of the group. In other words, Hizb ut-Tahrir was exported from the Muslim world to the UK, where it rapidly grew amongst disaffected young Muslims. The book draws on narratives from the founding figures of the UK branch of Hizb ut-Tahrir, generating insight into how Hizb ut-Tahrir emerged, developed, and declined in the UK. Farhaan Wali is Senior Lecturer in Religious Studies at Bangor University, UK. He is the author of Radicalism Unveiled (2016), Segregated Britain (2020), and Leaving Islamism (2022). In addition to his academic expertise, he has been involved in a number of cross-cultural research projects in the private sector related to counter-terrorism and British Muslims. Farhaan Wali holds a doctorate in political science from Royal Holloway (University of London). 410 0$aPalgrave Series in Islamic Theology, Law, and History,$x2945-6703 606 $aGreat Britain$xHistory 606 $aEurope$xHistory$x1492- 606 $aHistory, Modern 606 $aReligion$xHistory 606 $aIslam$xStudy and teaching 606 $aHistory of Britain and Ireland 606 $aHistory of Modern Europe 606 $aModern History 606 $aHistory of Religion 606 $aIslamic Studies 615 0$aGreat Britain$xHistory. 615 0$aEurope$xHistory$x1492-. 615 0$aHistory, Modern. 615 0$aReligion$xHistory. 615 0$aIslam$xStudy and teaching. 615 14$aHistory of Britain and Ireland. 615 24$aHistory of Modern Europe. 615 24$aModern History. 615 24$aHistory of Religion. 615 24$aIslamic Studies. 676 $a305.6970941 700 $aWali$b Farhaan$01726358 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910838281003321 996 $aHizb Ut-Tahrir in Britain$94132063 997 $aUNINA
