Telephone data from 49 school districts and fieldwork data from 11 school-sponsored teen parent programs were collected concerning opportunities for and access to vocational education for teen parents who enroll in teen parent programs. Data revealed no formal barriers to vocational education for teen parents, whether or not they are enrolled in special programs. But access was limited in one-third of programs, and use of vocational education opportunities was low in most, regardless of access opportunities. Time-limited child care, transportation problems, conflicts between parenting and vocational education goals, and staff tendency to leave vocational education decisions to teen mothers reduce use. More active involvement by staff in promoting career planning is recommended. 410 0$aR (Rand Corporation) ;$vR-4170. 517 3 $aVocational education in teen parent programs 606 $aTeenage mothers$xVocational education$zUnited States 606 $aTeenage parents$xEducation$zUnited States 606 $aTeenage mothers$xVocational education$2fast$3(OCoLC)fst01145492 606 $aTeenage parents$xEducation$2fast$3(OCoLC)fst01145497 607 $aUnited States$2fast 615 0$aTeenage mothers$xVocational education 615 0$aTeenage parents$xEducation 615 7$aTeenage mothers$xVocational education. 615 7$aTeenage parents$xEducation. 676 $a370.11/3 700 $aZellman$b Gail$01235324 701 $aFeifer$b Chris Naschak$01263294 701 $aHirsch$b Amy$f1952-$01263295 712 02$aRand Corporation. 712 02$aUnited States.$bOffice of Vocational and Adult Education. 712 02$aNational Center for Research in Vocational Education (U.S.) 801 0$bUAT 801 1$bUAT 801 2$bOCLCO 801 2$bOCLCF 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bNUI 801 2$bUBY 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bCUS 801 2$bOCLCA 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bIQU 801 2$bWYU 912 $a996322949303316 996 $aAccess to and use of vocational education in teen parent programs$92960512 997 $aUNISA LEADER 02628nam 2200577 450 001 9910830008703321 005 20230721013822.0 010 $a1-119-20618-9 010 $a1-282-93962-9 010 $a9786612939624 010 $a0-470-74690-4 035 $a(CKB)2670000000067956 035 $a(EBL)565140 035 $a(OCoLC)700919043 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000434910 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)12184322 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000434910 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10403481 035 $a(PQKB)10935160 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC565140 035 $a(EXLCZ)992670000000067956 100 $a20160804h20092009 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 10$aConversations with green gurus $ethe collective wisdom of environmental movers and shakers /$fLaura Mazur and Louella Miles 210 1$aWest Sussex, [England] :$cWiley,$d2009. 210 4$dİ2009 215 $a1 online resource (327 p.) 300 $aIncludes index. 311 $a0-934862-41-9 311 $a0-470-71431-X 327 $aConversations with Green Gurus; Contents; Foreword; Acknowledgements; About the Authors; Introduction; 1: Ray Anderson; 2: James Cameron; 3: Paul Dickinson; 4: John Elkington; 5: John Grant; 6: Denis Hayes; 7: Gary Hirshberg; 8: Tony Juniper; 9: Professor Sir David King; 10: Amory B.
