Along with the mystery of his murderer's identity, Pasolini left behind a controversial but acclaimed oeuvre as well as a final quartet of beguiling projects that signaled a radical change in his aesthetics and view of reality. The Resurrection of the Body is an original and compelling interpretation of these final works: the screenplay Saint Paul, the scenari 606 $aSOCIAL SCIENCE / General$2bisacsh 608 $aElectronic books. 615 7$aSOCIAL SCIENCE / General. 676 $a858/.91409 700 $aMaggi$b Armando$0969806 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910454113603321 996 $aThe resurrection of the body$92204298 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03555nam 2200745 450 001 9910828259303321 005 20200903223051.0 010 $a90-04-26390-X 024 7 $a10.1163/9789004263901 035 $a(CKB)2550000001200343 035 $a(EBL)1604074 035 $a(SSID)ssj0001107364 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11634134 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0001107364 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)11082029 035 $a(PQKB)11454964 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC1604074 035 $a(nllekb)BRILL9789004263901 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL1604074 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10832573 035 $a(CaONFJC)MIL571781 035 $a(OCoLC)870142427 035 $a(PPN)17888541X 035 $a(EXLCZ)992550000001200343 100 $a20140209h20142014 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 10$aRewriting Shangri-La $eTibetan youth, migrations and literacies in McLeod Ganj, India /$fby Heidi Swank 210 1$aLeiden, Netherlands :$cBrill,$d2014. 210 4$dİ2014 215 $a1 online resource (211 p.) 225 1 $aBrill's Tibetan Studies Library,$x1568-6183 ;$vVolume 34 300 $aDescription based upon print version of record. 311 $a1-306-40530-0 311 $a90-04-26389-6 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references and index. 327 $aPreliminary Material -- 1 ?Just Let Go of this Dream of Shangri-La? -- 2 Youth Communities and Methodologies -- 3 Theories of and in Practice -- 4 ?Come to Learn, Go to Serve? -- 5 Learning to Serve and to Roam -- 6 Writing Divisions -- 7 Families In Exile and Across the Himalayas -- 8 ?Friends Like You Are Really Oscar Winner? -- 9 Rewriting Shangri-La -- References -- Index. 330 $aIn Rewriting Shangri-La: Migrations and Everyday Literacies among Tibetan Youth in McLeod Ganj, India , Heidi Swank examines differing histories of migration and exile through the lens of everyday literacies. The youth on whom this ethnography focuses live in a community that has long been romanticized by Tibetans and non-Tibetans alike, positioning these youth to see themselves as keepers of a modern day Shangri-la. Through this ethnography - based on a decade of research - Heidi Swank suggests that through seemingly mundane writings (grocery lists, text messages, et cetera) these youth are shifting what Shangri-la means by renogotiating important aspects of life in this Tibetan community to better match their lived - not romanticized - experiences as exiles in rural India. 410 0$aBrill's Tibetan studies library ;$vv. 34. 606 $aTibetans$zIndia$zMcleodganj$vCase studies 606 $aYouth$zIndia$zMcleodganj$vCase studies 606 $aImmigrant youth$zIndia$zMcleodganj$vCase studies 606 $aYouths' writings$xSocial aspects 606 $aWritten communication$xSocial aspects 606 $aGroup identity$zTibet Region 607 $aMcleodganj (India)$xEmigration and immigration$xSocial aspects 607 $aTibet Region$xCivilization 615 0$aTibetans 615 0$aYouth 615 0$aImmigrant youth 615 0$aYouths' writings$xSocial aspects. 615 0$aWritten communication$xSocial aspects. 615 0$aGroup identity 676 $a305.800951/5 700 $aSwank$b Heidi$01692851 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910828259303321 996 $aRewriting Shangri-La$94070222 997 $aUNINA
