After placing fundamentalisms in a theoretical framework, the study looks at selected themes important to fundamentalists, noting resemblances and differences. These themes include their anti-secularist stance, their theocentric worldviews, their reliance on inerrant sacred scriptures, and their attitudes to politics, government, state and democracy. The study also looks at the fundamentalist view of the world as a perennial battlefield between the forces of good and those of evil, in the realm of ideologies as well as politics and the legitimation of violence. 410 0$aStudies in the history of religions ;$v96. 606 $aReligious fundamentalism$vComparative studies 606 $aIslam$xRelations$xChristianity 606 $aChristianity and other religions$xIslam 615 0$aReligious fundamentalism 615 0$aIslam$xRelations$xChristianity. 615 0$aChristianity and other religions$xIslam. 676 $a200/.9/051 700 $aZeidan$b David$01657723 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910827419103321 996 $aThe resurgence of religion$94011295 997 $aUNINA
