Drawing upon archival as well as recently published material, this study traces Pound's intimate engagement with specific occultists (W.B. Yeats, Allen Upward, Alfred Orage, and G.R.S. Mead) and their ideas. The author argues that speculative occultism was a major factor in the evolution of Pound's extraordinary aesthetic and religious sensibility, much noticed in Pound criticism. 606 $aOccultism in literature 615 0$aOccultism in literature. 676 $a811/.52 700 $aTryphonopoulos$b Demetres P.$f1956-$01627566 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910825150303321 996 $aThe celestial tradition$93964222 997 $aUNINA
