Blunda. 330 $aA rare scholarly attempt to focus on the last decade of Augustine's life, this volume highlights the themes and concerns that occupied the aged bishop of Hippo and led him to formulate some of his central notions in the most radical fashion. Augustine of Hippo's last decade from 420 to 430 witnessed the completion of some of his most infl uential works, from the City of God to the Unfi nished Work against Julian of Eclanum, from On the Trinity to the Literal Commentary on Genesis. During this period Augustine remained fully engaged as bishop and administrator, but also began to curate his legacy, revising his previous works and pushing many of his earlier ideas to novel and at times radical conclusions. Yet, this last period of Augustine's life has received only modest scholarly attention. With a cast of international scholars, the present volume opens a conversation and makes the case that the late (wild) Augustine deserves at least as much attention as the Augustine of the Confessions. 410 0$aAugustinus - Werk und Wirkung ;$v11. 606 $aMarcellinus 606 $aDe libero arbitrio 606 $aRetractationes 606 $aDe haeresibus 606 $aVox confusa 606 $aRetractations 606 $aAgainst Heresies 606 $aNorth Africa 606 $aPelagius 606 $aJulian of Eclanum 606 $achurch property 606 $aoriginal sin 606 $abody 606 $aGallic monasticism 606 $aSabine women 615 4$aMarcellinus 615 4$aDe libero arbitrio 615 4$aRetractationes 615 4$aDe haeresibus 615 4$aVox confusa 615 4$aRetractations 615 4$aAgainst Heresies 615 4$aNorth Africa 615 4$aPelagius 615 4$aJulian of Eclanum 615 4$achurch property 615 4$aoriginal sin 615 4$abody 615 4$aGallic monasticism 615 4$aSabine women 676 $a270.2092 702 $aFlower$b Richard$4ctb 702 $aBrachtendorf$b Johannes$4ctb 702 $aHermanowicz$b Erika T$4ctb 702 $aConybeare$b Catherine$4ctb 702 $aPatout Burns$b Patout$4ctb 702 $aTuttle$b Darcy$4ctb 702 $aVessey$b Mark$4ctb 702 $aElm$b Susanna$4edt 702 $aBlunda$b Christopher M$4edt 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910822500303321 996 $aThe Late (Wild) Augustine$94074792 997 $aUNINA
