Calin proposes that much of traditional, medieval, and early modern Scottish culture, thought to be native to Scotland or primarily from England, is in fact strikingly international and European. By situating Scottish works in a broad intertextual context, Calin reveals which French genres and modes were most popular in Scotland and why. 'The lily and the thistle' provides appraisals of medieval narrative texts in the high courtly mode (equivalent to the French "dits amoureux"); comic, didactic, and satirical texts; and Scots romance. Special attention is accorded to texts composed originally in French such as the Arthurian "Roman de Fergus," as well as to the lyrics of Mary Queen of Scots and little known writers from the French and Scottish canons. By considering both medieval and renaissance works, Calin is able to observe shifts in taste and French influence over the centuries. 606 $aScottish literature$yTo 1700$xHistory and criticism 606 $aScottish literature$yTo 1700$xFrench influences 608 $aCriticism, interpretation, etc. 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aScottish literature$xHistory and criticism. 615 0$aScottish literature$xFrench influences. 676 $a820.994110902 700 $aCalin$b William$0202406 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910791225103321 996 $aThe lily and the thistle$93676704 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01155nam 2200385 450 001 9910793957703321 005 20230807202053.0 010 $a1-78491-165-8 035 $a(CKB)4100000009678087 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC5962778 035 $a(EXLCZ)994100000009678087 100 $a20191121d2015 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aGnathia and related Hellenistic ware on the east Adriatic coast /$fMaja Mis?e 210 1$aOxford :$cArchaeopress,$d[2015] 210 4$dİ2015 215 $a1 online resource (vi, 168 pages) $cillustrations, maps 225 1 $aArchaeopress archaeology 311 $a1-78491-164-X 410 0$aArchaeopress archaeology. 606 $aPottery, Hellenistic 615 0$aPottery, Hellenistic. 676 $a738.30938 700 $aMis?e$b Maja$f1978-$01559649 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910793957703321 996 $aGnathia and related Hellenistic ware on the east Adriatic coast$93824973 997 $aUNINA LEADER 02635nam 2200457 450 001 9910131621303321 005 20240214165236.0 010 $a88-15-32420-8 024 70$a10.978.8815/324207 035 $a(CKB)3710000000470626 035 $a(NjHacI)993710000000470626 035 $a(EXLCZ)993710000000470626 100 $a20240214d2015 uy 0 101 0 $aita 135 $aur||||||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 00$aCome scrivono gli adolescenti $eUn'indagine sulla scrittura scolastica e sulla didattica della scrittura /$fa cura di Pietro Boscolo, Elvira Zuin 210 1$aBologna :$cSocieta? editrice il Mulino Spa,$d2015. 215 $a1 online resource (336 pages) 225 1 $aPercorsi 327 $aPrefazione -- Presentazione -- PARTE PRIMA. CONCLUSIONI E UTILIZZO DEI RISULTATI. 330 $aCapire come gli adolescenti scrivono testi scolastici e che cosa pensano dell'attivita? di scrivere: questi sono i temi su cui indaga la ricerca qui presentata, innovativa e ampia, che ha coinvolto piu? di 1500 studenti iscritti alle scuole secondarie di secondo grado e alla formazione professionale nella Provincia Autonoma di Trento. Alla ricerca hanno partecipato anche gli insegnanti di italiano degli stessi ordini di scuola, che sono stati interpellati sulla scrittura, sul modo di insegnarla e sulle modalita? e i tempi di apprendimento degli studenti. Le opinioni e gli elaborati degli studenti aprono interrogativi che investono sia la loro autonomia nell'eseguire compiti di scrittura sia la competenza nel ricavare informazioni dai testi per sintetizzarle e nell'argomentare per convincere il potenziale lettore. Il confronto dei dati relativi agli studenti con le risposte degli insegnanti consente di enucleare problemi e delineare ipotesi di lavoro circa l'insegnare-apprendere la scrittura nel biennio conclusivo dell'obbligo scolastico. 410 0$aPercorsi (Bologna, Italy) 517 $aCome scrivono gli adolescenti 606 $aAdolescence$xResearch 606 $aReport writing 606 $aLinguistics$zItaly$xHistory 615 0$aAdolescence$xResearch. 615 0$aReport writing. 615 0$aLinguistics$xHistory. 676 $a305.235072 702 $aBoscolo$b Pietro 702 $aZuin$b Elvira 801 0$bNjHacI 801 1$bNjHacl 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910131621303321 996 $aCome scrivono gli adolescenti$9254599 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01369nam 2200445 450 001 9910821865703321 005 20170925183553.0 010 $a1-4985-3666-2 035 $a(CKB)3710000000829212 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)16505041 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)15035902 035 $a(PQKB)21350179 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC4643643 035 $a(EXLCZ)993710000000829212 100 $a20160903h20162016 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 10$aSport and the American occupation of the Philippines /$fGerald R.
