The real problems are complex, and sophisticated methodology is needed to handle them. Agent-based modeling and simulation is one methodology that provides a bottom-up experimental approach applicable to social sciences such as economics, management, sociology, and politics as well as some engineering fields dealing with social activities. However, to improve the applicability of agent-based modeling and simulation methods, a new perspective is needed. In this book, that new perspective is developed and utilized to deal with many cases of real-world problems such as the supply chain, land use and land cover, transportation, health, services, economics, and social problems. The cases are selected from papers presented at the Ninth International Workshop on Agent-Based Approaches in Economic and Social Complex Systems held in Bali, Indonesia, in 2015. At the workshop, 29 reviewed full papers were presented, and of those, 16 were selected to be included in this volume. 410 0$aAgent-Based Social Systems,$x2364-9542 ;$v15 606 $aTechnological innovations 606 $aKnowledge management 606 $aEconomic development 606 $aEconomics 606 $aOperations research 606 $aIndustrial Management 606 $aInnovation and Technology Management 606 $aKnowledge Management 606 $aEconomic Development, Innovation and Growth 606 $aPolitical Economy and Economic Systems 606 $aOperations Research and Decision Theory 606 $aIndustrial Management 615 0$aTechnological innovations. 615 0$aKnowledge management. 615 0$aEconomic development. 615 0$aEconomics. 615 0$aOperations research. 615 0$aIndustrial Management. 615 14$aInnovation and Technology Management. 615 24$aKnowledge Management. 615 24$aEconomic Development, Innovation and Growth. 615 24$aPolitical Economy and Economic Systems. 615 24$aOperations Research and Decision Theory. 615 24$aIndustrial Management. 676 $a330.015193 702 $aPutro$b Utomo Sarjono$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aIchikawa$b Manabu$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aSiallagan$b Manahan$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910254900303321 996 $aAgent-Based Approaches in Economics and Social Complex Systems IX$91925359 997 $aUNINA
